new geto boys album

what is the line-up for this album, btw? is it scarface-willie d-bushwick or is someone absent?

even if you haven't heard it, are you excited about there being a geto boys album in 2004?

“We were really feeling the pressure,” says Willie D. “Fans were really wanting a new album from us so I took the initiative to get at everybody one by one. I had to facilitate the whole thing because we hadn’t all been on the same page. I had been in touch with Brad for a minute and we both had been talking about doing a Geto Boys album. He told me that he was with it. Then I reached out to Bushwic and convince him to do it. Then I called Lil J and asked him if he was with it. He said yeah. Once everybody was with it we just got in the studio and knocked it out.”

I predict it will be a really solid below-radar kind of album that gets released in Houston every month. It will be pretty good as long as Scarface doesn't use that annoying ghostly female vocal sample he always uses. Check out Z-Ro "The Life Of Joseph W. McVey" or the Rap-A-Lot comp "Day After Hell Broke Loose" to get an idea of how it might sound, if it's as good as the Z-Ro cd it will be a straight classic.

i like the griminess and sick humour overload of "we cant be stopped" and the self-titled one. are these qualities present on "the foundation"?

a friend of mine just saw them live the other night -- they apparently had vehicle trouble and showed up at 3:30am for the show but did a full set and posed for pics with audience members afterward
