Would anyone care to summarise it for those of us without Flash on our computers?

it's just a trailer caitlin. there's not much to it other than a deformed manchild mumbling "mama".

eek!

ok, so it's six minutes long. the majority of it is pretty similar to the aphex teaser, and the middle section has a spastic, heavily edited music video wheelchair dance sequence. there are a few arresting scenes near the end, but overall, if this is what he's been working on for (years?) now, what a giant disappointment. as short films go, its wonderful, but i'm really starting to get tired of his absolutely glacial workpace.

rubber johnny is perfect!! i dont give a damn how long it took cunningham to make it. the man has standards, i respect that. not sure if im actually going to pay for the dvd tho, eur 3,- a minute seems a bit much

There was a link on another board. I immediately recognized his style. I dunno, it's very good, but *whatever*. Time to move on, I say.

Love the teaser, I have it on his Director's series DVD. The whole thing looks delightfully fucked up. The Aphex Twin soundtrack is genius (as is everything about Mr Richard D. James).

I've a feeling that if Cunningham could deal with the idea of making "proper" films, he'd do very well; his somewhat detached style reminds me a little of Kubrick.

I found the film on slsk, it's...meh. The ending, with the mashed up face-and-meat-against-glass bits, is great. But the previous four or five minutes feel like a step backwards really.

Anyone actually bought the dvd? What's the book like?

What happened to Chris Cunningham? Does he still do any work?

Obscur: Where in the World is Chris Cunningham?

Dior: Portrait of an Artist (a 2020 CC short film).
