I am sick of hipsters fronting on Icehouse's "Electric Blue"

1. Icehouse had better songs.
2. Iva Davies' mullet was considered a crime against humanity in '87.

I don't understand why this thread exists. Are you calling me a hipster?

Electric Blue is a fucking horrible, horrible song and should be shat on, set on fire, and kicked off a bridge. I HATE IT SO MUCH.

anyone who likes anything that kbp doesn't is in danger of being a hipster

anyone who likes anything that kbp hasn't heard is definitely a hipster

dickheads in high school, thinking it was funny to sing "its all over you, electric poo" just made things EVEN WORSE.

heard a story about this foaf who bought the cassingle when it came out and played it on repeat all weekend while my friend was staying at their place. iirc the cassette itself was blue.

eight months pass...

I'm revisiting the eighties .... Facebook has re-ignited a three-decades-old high school BEEF.

This was one of those music geek bands that they played on my fave obscure station... not clubby and not rockist. Kids were vain back then.
But I have the first two albums - wow, what a good Bowie / Roxy ripoff they were! This was a capital crime back then.

Very strong songs and nice frothy sound. You can get their stuff on iTunes but not Spotify, which instead offers heaps of re-recorded Miami-style club crap as the "new wave 80's". Grrr....
