lag∞n, Monday, 9 June 2014 14:45 (twelve years ago)

I miss the halcyon days of when mentioning Conn. made me think of all those wacky land boundaries and not horrible tragedies.

pplains, Monday, 9 June 2014 14:48 (twelve years ago)

xp: Oh come on, Connecticut has... Mohegan Sun...

On-the-spot Dicespin (DJP), Monday, 9 June 2014 14:48 (twelve years ago)

connecticut is easily one of the worst states in the world no offense anyone

lag∞n, Monday, 9 June 2014 14:49 (twelve years ago)

marcos, Monday, 9 June 2014 14:52 (twelve years ago)

lag∞n, Monday, 9 June 2014 14:55 (twelve years ago)

dn/ac (darraghmac), Monday, 9 June 2014 14:56 (twelve years ago)

also CT has some pretty rural areas, sherman is a cute little town iirc that felt pretty similar to the berkshire towns in MA like stockbridge and great barrington. went to wedding there a few years ago

marcos, Monday, 9 June 2014 14:57 (twelve years ago)

omg stop trying to make connecticut happen

lag∞n, Monday, 9 June 2014 14:58 (twelve years ago)

ha, i feel like i have to justify it, if only for myself. my wife's folks live there and there is a 30% chance we will end up there too

On-the-spot Dicespin (DJP), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:01 (twelve years ago)

window is short but I will take that on board

if I've seen Gloucester does yr answer change? cos I've seen Gloucester twice and that was once and a bit too many tbph

dn/ac (darraghmac), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:04 (twelve years ago)

well, kind of? New Bedford is like a seedier version of Gloucester with worse restaurants and a pretty cool whaling museum

On-the-spot Dicespin (DJP), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:05 (twelve years ago)

otm it's way seedy

Airwrecka Bliptrap Blapmantis (ENBB), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:08 (twelve years ago)

and CT sucks but I do want to try New Haven pizza.

Airwrecka Bliptrap Blapmantis (ENBB), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:08 (twelve years ago)

hmmm I feel like I could find a closer whaling museum were that all, yknow

dn/ac (darraghmac), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:08 (twelve years ago)

tho I guess I can see why he moved, given the facts

dn/ac (darraghmac), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:08 (twelve years ago)

Gloucester can be pretty seedy too though. Someone in a bar there once stole my shoes.

Airwrecka Bliptrap Blapmantis (ENBB), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:09 (twelve years ago)

I like it even though I'm still bitter about the shoe incident.

Airwrecka Bliptrap Blapmantis (ENBB), Monday, 9 June 2014 15:09 (twelve years ago)

If you go to conn drive the Merritt Parkway

Everything else kinda sucks imo

, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:34 (twelve years ago)

yeah the merrit owns

lag∞n, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:35 (twelve years ago)

yea it's a good drive. was kind of a miracle when we started driving the merritt instead of 95 to visit my in-laws in fairfield. that stretch of 95 is one of my top 3 worst highways in the country

marcos, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:37 (twelve years ago)

As someone who lives within the Louisiana Purchase, parkways are such a novelty to me.

pplains, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:37 (twelve years ago)

I think if you do 95 entering from NY there's a cool bridge you drive across. But yeah that's an awful stretch

, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:38 (twelve years ago)

i gotta get down to the whaling museum but i have been programmed to avoid the entire rt. 24/495 triangle

call all destroyer, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:38 (twelve years ago)

Do they call it a parkway because there are areas every few miles where you can park

That's amazing

, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:39 (twelve years ago)

It's not an interstate, it's not a Route 66... it's a limited-access highway that goes through people's backyards.

pplains, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:39 (twelve years ago)

yea no trucks too

marcos, Monday, 9 June 2014 15:40 (twelve years ago)

bqe > grand central pkwy > whitstone bridge > hutchinson pkwy > merritt pkwy > wilber cross pkwy > almost to hartford

the route of gods
