I miss the halcyon days of when mentioning Conn. made me think of all those wacky land boundaries and not horrible tragedies.

connecticut is easily one of the worst states in the world no offense anyone

new haven can be pretty cool imo

yale's museums are great, lots of good cheap food, great pizza

oh im def gonna visit new haven as soon as i can now

my dad now resides in new Bedford should I not visit

also CT has some pretty rural areas, sherman is a cute little town iirc that felt pretty similar to the berkshire towns in MA like stockbridge and great barrington. went to wedding there a few years ago

well, kind of? New Bedford is like a seedier version of Gloucester with worse restaurants and a pretty cool whaling museum

Gloucester can be pretty seedy too though. Someone in a bar there once stole my shoes.

If you go to conn drive the Merritt Parkway

Everything else kinda sucks imo

yea it's a good drive. was kind of a miracle when we started driving the merritt instead of 95 to visit my in-laws in fairfield. that stretch of 95 is one of my top 3 worst highways in the country

As someone who lives within the Louisiana Purchase, parkways are such a novelty to me.

I think if you do 95 entering from NY there's a cool bridge you drive across. But yeah that's an awful stretch

i gotta get down to the whaling museum but i have been programmed to avoid the entire rt. 24/495 triangle

It's not an interstate, it's not a Route 66... it's a limited-access highway that goes through people's backyards.

there are also gas stations scattered throughout the merritt where you can pull over and park & get some gas

also they are very twisty w no shoulder and people drive 20mph over the speed limit so it kinda like a video game except if you die you really die
