7.57: Marlene says she loves Jones dearly: “You are the nicest man I think I know. If a gentleman issues an apology a lady should accept.” Jones says he cannot speak for the PM.

7.49: Ian Leslie, formerly a journalist at 60 Minutes, tells Jones that this is a black day as he feels freedom of speech is being eroded. Ian reminds boycotters that there are other places to shop such as Coles and Aldi. The caller drives a Mercedes but he stands for freedom of speech.

WTF

i remember seeing the first one and a best-of earlier this year while killing time at JB - they probably have done the others by now too. especially if they're touring those.

Yes, the tour is called Primitive Colours because DO YOU SEE.

In other news, Rick Astley is touring here soon. And opening for him is Wa Wa Nee!

I was in a car somewhere out in the burbs last week and passed a big sign for a PSEUDO ECHO gig and I lolled mightily and also thought of the pseudo echo/pigs arse thread.

Jones still having his hissy about Merc taking away his Limo/the advertising to the station:

He continued the attack on radio this morning, again suggesting the company's comments would impact on its sales and dealers.

“How do they [the people who work at dealerships] keep their jobs now that people are angry, that people don't go through the door, that they've decided they'll buy a BMW or a Holden, anything other than a Mercedes-Benz all because of one person,” Jones said.

Oh my god. Does he seriously not get it? Is he referring to himself as the one person? He seriously thinks that if he says something bad, people will *still not shop at his sponsors despite the fact theyve withdrawn their support*!? I mean its the fucking opposite! WHat is the matter with this hysterical closeted pissypants?

Una Stubbs' Tears (Trayce), Tuesday, 9 October 2012 05:48 (eleven years ago) link

how do the ppl at BMW or Holden dealerships keep their jobs when he's normally driving all the world country state city eastern suburbs' purchasing power to the Merc dealers

BTW in case anyone missed the ghost of Paul Keating momentarily swooping into Gillard's body in Parli today: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-10-09/julia-gillard-attacks-abbott-of-hypocrisy/4303634

gillard was great, if you ignore her cutting welfare payments for single mothers today and blocking marriage equality the other week

Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 9 October 2012 09:53 (eleven years ago) link

iow fuck her

Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 9 October 2012 09:53 (eleven years ago) link

Sadly, we're at the juncture where we're forced to back the person who would cut welfare payments for single mothers against the person who would steal babies away from single mothers then make them work in a Dickensian workhouse built from the bones of gay people (probably).
