I love how when someone vaguely insults a guy its death threats and "how dare u he is a WAR HERO" but when women have to put up with a continuous barrage of "slut", "fat bitch", "whore" etc etc from all corners, people say "oh get a sense of humour". The SAME people, usually.

I'm angry about all this for 2 reasons: 1) she's copping it more as a woman than a man who'd said similar innocous things would (remember, this is NOTHING like the slut-shaming and direct threads Sandilands made). 2) I am sick to death of the deification of the miliary in this country. Honest to christ. They are not sent to war involuntarily, its a career, and a very bloody well paid and rewarded one. Yes, it is an extremely hard and risky career. But no one deifies surgeons or SES rescuers or vets or miners.

I'm not saying soldiers are bad or I'm agin' em. I'm not, I have friends in the military. I hate the HOW DARE YOU THEY ARE A SOLIDER YOU SHOULD DIE YOU ASSWIPE attitude. Same ppl, probably, who go to Tobruk on Anzac day and get drunk and wave flags.

literally all I'm seeing is people being outraged about the outrage, have not encountered either a) the outrage or b) the source of the outrage anywhere. this thread said outrage was on facebook, so that totally makes sense as to why I haven't, QED

She wasnt the one who called him a "dud root", that wasnt even Negus. It was whoever "another host" was. Who has never been called out on this. Nor has Negus. Funny that. Pick on the woman.
