Rudd was actually quite good but had the misfortune of leading a party full of self-interested hacks (check out Simon Crean's rant today as an example).
― Born To Meat Pie (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 31 January 2012 08:14 (fourteen years ago)
Anyway, we're all fucked.
But I should say that Rudd's tea is quite good!!
― Born To Meat Pie (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 31 January 2012 08:15 (fourteen years ago)
Rudd started the internet filter, he can go to hell.
― Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 31 January 2012 08:19 (fourteen years ago)
I'm still convinced that was more of a thing to pretend they care about " good morals" to those who still care about that/distract Conroy from anything important rather than any actual censorship.
― Born To Meat Pie (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 31 January 2012 09:51 (fourteen years ago)
Or more succinctly: giving the Catholic branch of the ALP a "win" without doing so.
― Born To Meat Pie (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 31 January 2012 09:52 (fourteen years ago)
not good enough
― Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 31 January 2012 09:55 (fourteen years ago)
Well, it's a cautionary tale on why the ALP needs be reformed pretty sharply if it is to have any sort of future, but I'm still able to access hardcore pornography think pieces on progressive politics and US TV shows, so I'm still only slightly offended by it all.
― Born To Meat Pie (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 31 January 2012 10:01 (fourteen years ago)
alp needs the world's biggest kick up the arse (with john faulkner on vocals)
― Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 31 January 2012 10:03 (fourteen years ago)
after the howard era they could have pulled in 15 years quite comfortably, but no

― Born To Meat Pie (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 31 January 2012 10:15 (fourteen years ago)

― Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 31 January 2012 10:18 (fourteen years ago)
so fucking devastated
even the monthly is doing regular anti-alp articles, that's how shit they are
― Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 31 January 2012 10:19 (fourteen years ago)
By the way, it's 2012 and the Queen is still the fucking head of state, the Union Jack is still on the flag, indigenous people are still marginalized and you can't have a gay marriage, so a pox on the ALP's house.
At least Swanny has done a half-decent job on the economy (except that not passing the original mining tax is really going to bite us on the arse later on).
― Born To Meat Pie (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 31 January 2012 10:19 (fourteen years ago)
Mmmm I think that underestimates the flag-as-cape young voting dickhead mob.

Railing against Labor over the filter is fine because it was a RONG policy, but saying 'therefore I'm voting for the bigots' is well out of order, obviously. Problem is, you can't choose the not-bigot party because there isn't one.
Yesterday Abbott announced an indigenous ~thing~ that on paper looks reasonably sympathetic and even reconciliatory. I doubt it actually is, but my point is that Labor is now such a fucking duff party that Abbott can move into Gillard's social policy holes and just clean up. If he allows same-sex marriage to proceed, that's his last social policy manacle discarded and he will romp it in next year, guaranteed.
