I've requested a selfban before. I think one person noticed (so it's not like I insisted anybody else be a part of my decision) and I stand by it as a smart and healthy thing to do at the time.

yeah but you can do the same thing privately if you just randomize your password. making some mod mess w/ your account and having the event announced in public makes it a lot more dramatic than it needs to be.

I think this is one of those situations where everyone just needs to cool out. But I only read the first 500 posts of this and I'm pretty glad she self banned. Some things really are too stupid to discuss.
