soz everyone I get a bit teary-eyed thinking of Warne's bowling. he deserved a draw in the 2005 Ashes on his own, pretty poetic that his dropped catch ultimately prevented this

Had a quick look at the buzz on the Fairfax website re: Warney hosting Elizabeth Hurley...and I discovered a rather interesting insight from a former ILXor:

Warnie is a natural with women because he represents evolutionary attraction to women. He is high ranking.
He is naturally a dominant without being malign, he has social proof all over the world, he has a history of dating attractive women which effectively preselects him 'if he's good enough for this gorgeous girl he must be worthwhile'.
Women instinctively, primally, see this sort of man as an ideal gene donor; his genes give there offspring the best chance of being fit and attractive.
Of course reproduction is presumably not on Hurley's mind but the same imperatives are at work.
