the neighbor whose house shares a fence w/my parents' backyard has a model trainset that one could ride around on in his backyard - i was kinda jealous
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:05 (fifteen years ago)
this isn't a very males only thread

like do you identify more with Alan Bates or Oliver Reed?
And to whom, one wonders, was Bates' mail adressed when he was a child?
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:07 (fifteen years ago)
sarahel, is it wrong to imagine you presently wearing mannish clothes while you post on an ostensibly guys-only thread?
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:08 (fifteen years ago)
Comedy indie 'tache I suspect.
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:10 (fifteen years ago)
i think if a guy was wearing what i'm currently wearing ... well, he probably wouldn't want to
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:11 (fifteen years ago)
OK now you're just messing with us.
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:11 (fifteen years ago)
now i am?
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:12 (fifteen years ago)
I don't do jeggings tho tbf
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:12 (fifteen years ago)
what are jeggings?
Oh, I dunno, sometimes a bustle is just thing for the line of a dress.
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:12 (fifteen years ago)
hip new chillwave band iirc

Jeans/leggings crossover
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:13 (fifteen years ago)
Very occasionally - once, in my experience - devastating but mostly a huge mistake
I do not like that girl's shoes at all.
― Gravel Puzzleworth, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:14 (fifteen years ago)
wait so are those stretch denim?
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:15 (fifteen years ago)
THAT'S FAR ENOUGH, SISTER
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:15 (fifteen years ago)
As I have matured into a dirty old man, I have decided I no longer care what the girls wear, since I'm only objectifying them naked, anyway.
That said, Gravel is quite right.

I didn't think there were meant to be any good threads on COGH.
― I am using your worlds, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:16 (fifteen years ago)
do they have side zippers? those things are horrible.
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:16 (fifteen years ago)
The worst is the ones where it's not spandex, stretchy denim at all, but merely a print of denim on leggings. I don't why but I find those extremely sad.
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:18 (fifteen years ago)
know^
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:19 (fifteen years ago)
Leggings are mostly pretty ugly anyway imo
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:19 (fifteen years ago)
faux denim print is really horrible
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:19 (fifteen years ago)
I'm not entirely against leggings, hose, stockings, etc., but there's something so flagrantly sham about jeggings that makes me sigh and not in a good way.
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:21 (fifteen years ago)
so ... Batman vs. Spiderman, which would win in a fight?
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:21 (fifteen years ago)
Who gives a monkey's?
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:22 (fifteen years ago)
god - i can't believe i'm still not banned from this "MALES ONLY" thread
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:22 (fifteen years ago)
Lax moderation imo
Also, jeggings always seem to be on girls lacking in self-confidence who are trying way too hard appearance-wise, so maybe that's why I find them sad; the line between sexy and tawdry being well behind the wearer.
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:23 (fifteen years ago)
oh they're totally trashy
― sarahel, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:24 (fifteen years ago)
As I say, I've only known one woman who wore them well.
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:24 (fifteen years ago)
your mom?
Nah, his mom looks terrible in jeggings.
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:25 (fifteen years ago)
My mother's a saint, how dare you?
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:25 (fifteen years ago)
Great, now I have an image of a whole monastery full of jeggings-clad nuns stuck in my head.

Patron Saint of Jeggings
― Les centimètres énigmatiques (snoball), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:27 (fifteen years ago)
xp how would you know that a nun was wearing jeggings? Because they'd be covered over by the habit, surely?
― Les centimètres énigmatiques (snoball), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:28 (fifteen years ago)
Patron Jeggings was a TV anchor, right?
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:28 (fifteen years ago)
Okay, maybe their habit is in denim print, then.
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:29 (fifteen years ago)
xp Right up until he was sacked - ironically for wearing only boxer shorts below the waist while reading the news.
― Les centimètres énigmatiques (snoball), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:29 (fifteen years ago)
Imagine boxers in denim print. That would be disconcerting.
― Un peu d'Eire, ça fait toujours Dublin (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:33 (fifteen years ago)
excuse me for "rolling up" in the middle of this "sheerly" fascinating conversation, but i for one would welcome a mens group type thread where we talk about "being" "male" in the "21st century" and i'm pretty sure the Cape of Good Hope is the perfect forum for it!!
― C:\Users\Bill\Desktop\shirtless.jpg (Matt P), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:34 (fifteen years ago)
Denim print boxers wd look like Daisy Dukes i reckon
― Hongro Horace (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:34 (fifteen years ago)
Hey, is this where the combination makeover party, flower arranging class, and lesbian orgy meets?
― Christine Green Leafy Dragon Indigo, Tuesday, 7 September 2010 22:35 (fifteen years ago)
We just call it the flower orgy, Christine.
