We could just bulldoze IDME and build it on top of that.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:29 (fifteen years ago) link

A prison board, capital idea.

Ed, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:31 (fifteen years ago) link

With so much drama in the l-b-z-c
Its kinda hard bein snoop d-o-double-g
But i, somehow, some way
Keep comin up with funky ass shit like every single day

banriquit, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:32 (fifteen years ago) link

...and it certainly wouldn't be a meta board.

King Boy Pato, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:38 (fifteen years ago) link

can i be weird and ask what is going on with all these new boards - The Church? Cape Of Hope or whatever? What are these? Can we eat...etc?

the next grozart, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:41 (fifteen years ago) link

Tombot has gotten bored of hardmanning the same four or five forums over and over again, so he's branching out into new areas.

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:44 (fifteen years ago) link

It's like those forests that kings used to keep just so's they'd have somewhere to hunt pigs in.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:46 (fifteen years ago) link

'hunt'

banriquit, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:46 (fifteen years ago) link

I support this board. It would be like a britishes De Subjectivisten.

I am using your worlds, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:48 (fifteen years ago) link

We could have a trial 1 month strictly non-meta policy. You know, for kids.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:49 (fifteen years ago) link

We've given so much to the site and all we ask is a little space in return. We're like the Basques or the Cornish or something.

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:50 (fifteen years ago) link

WE ARE A PROUD PEOPLE

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:51 (fifteen years ago) link

I think you are about as likely to be given a beautiful pony with wings and a big horn sticking out the front of its head but that's just my personal opinion.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:52 (fifteen years ago) link

Or maybe a spaceship that lands on a pitch in the middle of Klagenfurt, that's marginally more likely than an I Love LBZC.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:52 (fifteen years ago) link

Frankly in a world where The Church exists it seems way perverse not to give us a board.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:52 (fifteen years ago) link

Moderation free? Invite only?

Tracksuit Party, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:55 (fifteen years ago) link

This is being moved to I Must Protest by the way.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:57 (fifteen years ago) link

If anyone can come up with arguments against it, I'd like to hear them.

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:58 (fifteen years ago) link

I don't see what could go wrong, frankly.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:59 (fifteen years ago) link

Just in case of the unlikely event that this may go ahead, I am officially claiming Cape of Good Hope to be the home of Mondeo Pop on ILX.

King Boy Pato, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 12:00 (fifteen years ago) link

^^^ This dude has his own board

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 12:01 (fifteen years ago) link

well, even if this board was created, it would just be bulldozed for the inevitable "I Like Dogs" board next week.

And hopefully soon we'll be "board"

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 13:53 (fifteen years ago) link

xpost you may have done, but it was erased from both the board (later deleted) and your memory.

xxpost- yep pretty bored. god isn't even answering questions on the church thread. at least the last owner showed up every once in a fucking while.

apparently you only have to ask, and it shall be so.

i wonder who we ask?

darraghmac, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:04 (fifteen years ago) link

xpost

But that would mean locking all those fine threads

I am using your worlds, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:05 (fifteen years ago) link

No it wouldn't. LZBC is a democratic organisation and we do not believe that purging the past is the way forward; nay, the past offers us sustenance and retrospective LOLZ.

Just got offed, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:07 (fifteen years ago) link

But we don't believe in bare-faced landgrabs with blood seeping out from under the thin veneer of "respectability" applied by imperialist moderators, either.

banriquit, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:13 (fifteen years ago) link

This isn't about a "meta" board. I mean, back when Tombot said that all the meta should be on one board and that Ask Chaki was working as an experiment, we all listened to him and look where that got us.

This is about a seperate board for the LBZC, arguably ILx's greatest cultural contribution outside of that Cadence Voice track the dude who pissed himself remixed.

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:20 (fifteen years ago) link

how many votes/complaints would it take to get kittens/cuddlestein banned from the site on a no-tolerance policy, i wonder?

you know the type of thing, boards effectively deleted, threads locked, cuddlestein posters targeted for toe-the-line modding, etc

darraghmac, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:23 (fifteen years ago) link

Look ^^^ this dude's really angry. Can't you see he needs a board where he can just hang and be himself? I'm not asking for my own sake.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:25 (fifteen years ago) link

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 14:30 (fifteen years ago) link

wait, we have to have a poll to make it 'official'. democracy in action, etc

I met John Redwood once, he was playing in a cricket match I was scoring. We exchanged cordialities. I was 13 and didn't know who he was.

Hi, Dave Meltzer here, and like my fellow critics of high art who've popped in above, I gotta say that the idea of an LBZC board is easily a **** 3/4* forum. If only they'd transitioned onto the armwork earlier it would be a *****.

I'd be interested to see what form a non-meta-LBZC board would take so I'm all for it. What's the worst that could happen?

In 2001 the High Court ordered his company, Eric Hall Management Ltd, into liquidation.

He is currently working as a presenter in BBC local radio on BBC Essex

Not very monster.

There have been boards started with far less celebrity endorsement than this one.

Noodle Vague, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:10 (fifteen years ago) link

I'll tell you what. if LBZC can come up with another thread idea that isn't this one over and over again, maybe we'll see about it.

El Tomboto, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:14 (fifteen years ago) link

why is it ok to discus other shitty board concepts but not this?

Come on ET, even an anhedonic old man of steel such as yourself has to accept that ILX's premier posters having a sideboard of ILX to try out new posting concepts and tricks easily outstrips "All three post threads, all the time... with King Boy Pato" and "J0rdan S discusses shorts".

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:22 (fifteen years ago) link

It'll also provide a convenient one-stop shop for BBC3 comedy review show writers to rip all their gags from.

Noodle Vague, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:24 (fifteen years ago) link

In this case, however, does force of numerical support increase force of opposition?

Just got offed, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:25 (fifteen years ago) link

if i wanted to guarantee the correct outcome of a Jean de Florette vs Green Card poll, where would I post it? right now, nowhere. the void is so obvious it's staggering.

Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:28 (fifteen years ago) link

you guys' only posting concepts appear to be whining about mods and posting in-jokes to one another which is, I will admit, about on a level with "all three post threads all the time f. KBP" the problem being that most of you are known massive meta violators and appear to spend a lot of your time finding other posters to complain about e.g. "jordan S discusses shorts" ha ha dom very well done oh wait shit that board's taking off like a fucking F1.

El Tomboto, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:28 (fifteen years ago) link

Being less of a lot of really awful, repetitive whiners and martyrs and doing everything you possibly can to get on the mods' wrong side is probably not the best way to have gone about this, as well

El Tomboto, Thursday, 19 June 2008 17:30 (fifteen years ago) link

OK, if we get "I Love LBZC" we promise to start a thread about the politics of messenger bags just for you.
