La Crosse / Duluth
Up the Mississippi river valley, back and forth from WI to MN, thru the driftless zone, thru the Cities, up the st croix river valley, A Hard Day In Duluth with lots of horrible steep climbing, up to Ely, back out to the North Shore, down to Duluth. I dunno, maybe five days?

it would be the hardest thing
i realized that the driftless and the north shore are flat, statistically, but really nasty when it comes to ramps. just awful gut wrenchers everywhere. you could do country crits where there's a big old flat part over the hill and then make people descend and climb out OVER AND OVER AGAIN. ppl go to bike races to watch a parade and/or to watch people actively dying. drop that into beer country and yr good to go imo

the alamanzo 100 is the upper midwest's classic so far, may as well have a tour. in the fall. no sane person rides a bike or does anything when it's 90F outside
