My frame just had S&S couplers welded on. S&S is rather emphatic about the use of a particular, hard to find grease by Finish Line. So I'm trying to find it in Denver.

1) I go to a well known high end shop that I generally like. They don't have it, but do carry other Finish Line stuff. "Would you special order one or two for me?" "No, sorry, but thanks for coming by."
2) This morning I call a local tandem specialist shop, which is listed as a retailer of this shit on S&S's site. "Do you have?" "Yes, $15." "Great I'll come by and get. Hey, I don't know your shop, do you have a regular shop that could press my headset races while I'm there?" "Sure, what kind of tandem do you have?" "Oh, it's a single frame." Awkward silence. "You know, we have, we have like good karma just working on tandems, that's just what we do here, sorry." "Oh, OK. Do I still get to buy the grease?" "Yeah, ha, that's fine."
After all the bitching about how shitty the internets are, and about how your LBS is there to serve you...
