iro with the brown bag (Hunt3r), Wednesday, 4 March 2009 23:10 (seventeen years ago)

sounds great on paper, to me, but those lugs are too baroque and the new dura-ace looks bad on it. unless you were just kiddin?????

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Wednesday, 4 March 2009 23:17 (seventeen years ago)

no, its all wrong to me. hate the steel + sloping tt. hate the skinny tubes plus os fork. i like the lugwork and stays. but polished lugs plus dark ano cranks. man, its just like all wrong to me.

i cant believe they let that bike in front of the lens with the decals as they are, either (the article points that out). i mean its a $7000 ride wtf?

they need to visit nahmbs. man am i cranky or what?

iro with the brown bag (Hunt3r), Wednesday, 4 March 2009 23:34 (seventeen years ago)

nah, yr right, the total look is....off. it looks like design by committee.

Love the way you guys have such an eye for these - they all just look like road bikes to me! Ok I'm not a roadie, but even that trek mtb I posted above, I couldn't really say why I like it, it just appeals on a subconscious level.

ledge, Friday, 6 March 2009 12:11 (seventeen years ago)

i know it's not like a hot shit custom job but 1500 for bmc w/rival is making my 1600 tax refund shake in its damn boots

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Thursday, 19 March 2009 20:27 (seventeen years ago)

nice deal.

iro with the brown bag (Hunt3r), Thursday, 19 March 2009 21:07 (seventeen years ago)

i should probably buy an otoscope or something tho :-/

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Thursday, 19 March 2009 23:05 (seventeen years ago)

dang that is very similar to the 2009 Cervelo S1 that was tempting me for many months. But ultimately, I didn't want an aluminum frame.

(*゚ー゚)θ L(。・_・) °~ヾ(・ε・ *) (Steve Shasta), Friday, 20 March 2009 01:51 (seventeen years ago)

i feel like if i'm gonna drop like actual real money on a bike, i want to get a really nice steel frame that'll last forever. if i raced and was actually good at it, i could justify a hotshit carbon race bike, but

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Friday, 20 March 2009 18:44 (seventeen years ago)

yes, save $ for the carbon fiber otoscope.

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 22:05 (seventeen years ago)

i mean i know it's a TT/tri bike and thus impractical for basically everything, but daaaaaaaamn

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 22:05 (seventeen years ago)

Is that position legal on the road? I don't think it would be on the track.

Prince of Persia (Ed), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 22:07 (seventeen years ago)

good question, i dunno what UCI regs for that shit, other than that they're strict about uniformity and shit like boardman's superman-position

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 22:10 (seventeen years ago)

xpost
Looks awesome and I love the behind the fork front break and internal cable routing. Would be a shame to ride it and spoil the aerodynamics.

Prince of Persia (Ed), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 22:11 (seventeen years ago)

also i am planning on getting myself one of these as a med school graduation present

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 22:11 (seventeen years ago)

Nice, I think my graduation present will be going on a frame building course.

Prince of Persia (Ed), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 23:08 (seventeen years ago)

oh that is an even better idea

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Tuesday, 14 April 2009 23:09 (seventeen years ago)

wow

Prince of Persia (Ed), Wednesday, 13 May 2009 00:02 (seventeen years ago)

that's a lovely lovely (shiny) bike.

problem chimp (Porkpie), Wednesday, 13 May 2009 06:03 (seventeen years ago)

it would probably roll more smoothly without a hand attached to the wheel.

Super Cub, Wednesday, 13 May 2009 06:25 (seventeen years ago)

i think that one looks better than the stainless schwinn we discussed a couple of months ago. a little paint wouldn't hurt.

iro with the brown bag (Hunt3r), Friday, 15 May 2009 02:10 (seventeen years ago)

do any pro teams ride (ridiclous) steel frames like that nowadays?

wilter, Friday, 15 May 2009 04:24 (seventeen years ago)

ridiculous

wilter, Friday, 15 May 2009 04:24 (seventeen years ago)

i doubt it

(*゚ー゚)θ L(。・_・) °~ヾ(・ε・ *) (Steve Shasta), Thursday, 16 July 2009 18:21 (sixteen years ago)

I know they're all k=trick and that, but those wheels don't suit that bike, would like a shallower rim (unless of course you were like gifting it to me of course)

problem chimp (Porkpie), Thursday, 16 July 2009 20:40 (sixteen years ago)

one month passes...

it's not too corny to dig this oldskool bianchi is it?

dj rolando the aztec fish stick (haitch), Sunday, 6 September 2009 12:11 (sixteen years ago)

the black gruppo/fork/seatpost are yucky

crabRCISE (gbx), Sunday, 6 September 2009 15:56 (sixteen years ago)

'10 model drops the black fork and seat post, gets the look pretty bang-on

also about $1800 more o_O

ROCK BAND: BORBETOMAGUS (haitch), Tuesday, 15 September 2009 04:38 (sixteen years ago)

uhhh. $5000, imo thats a rip off, even with the chromed lugs. they should chrome the whole frame underneath the paint for that.

it looks much like my buddy's 1982 bianchi columbus sl with nuovo record, but with k-fussy looking graphics.

iro with the brown bag (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 15 September 2009 04:53 (sixteen years ago)

i think gbx is exactly right about the 09 version tho

iro with the brown bag (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 15 September 2009 04:54 (sixteen years ago)

also-- brown turbo=brown wrap. white wrap? WHITE turbo, plz. white PERFED turbo if u know.

iro with the brown bag (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 15 September 2009 04:59 (sixteen years ago)

oh $5k is definitely more than i'll be paying for a bike in the near future!

maybe i should just get an old frame and fit it out with new stuff.

ROCK BAND: BORBETOMAGUS (haitch), Tuesday, 15 September 2009 05:17 (sixteen years ago)

for that kinda money (and speaking as someone who recently threw down that kinda money for a not as cool model bianchi) you can find much, much finer bikes... not that i regret my purchase because i was looking for something super specific but i mean look at ed's moots cross bike in post #1, you can get something like that!
