problem chimp (Porkpie), Friday, 22 July 2011 14:21 (fourteen years ago)

I bought a gift for a friend (a wallet made of tyres and tubes) but nothing for me.

Mark C, Friday, 22 July 2011 21:18 (fourteen years ago)

Omega-3 fatty acid house (haitch), Sunday, 24 July 2011 12:52 (fourteen years ago)

took my old MTB to the bike shop where they were taking donations and spotted a bianchi ...pinella, i think? lightweight frame from a few years ago apparently, made from some exotic-sounding boron steel mix. pearlescent celeste, with athena 11, really beautiful.

Omega-3 fatty acid house (haitch), Sunday, 24 July 2011 14:00 (fourteen years ago)

that rear triangle looks waaaaaaaaaaay precarious

problem chimp (Porkpie), Tuesday, 2 August 2011 22:52 (fourteen years ago)

all those 12-14 lbs steel bikes, whoa. not into that rear brake thing w/ the nokons. i generally like the aesthetics of the bikes though.

if you hipster on your fixie tonight, dont forget, wear black. amen. (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 2 August 2011 23:01 (fourteen years ago)

that thing is nuts

g++ (gbx), Wednesday, 3 August 2011 02:55 (fourteen years ago)

Otherwise, would ride, I guess :)

Mark C, Wednesday, 3 August 2011 09:49 (fourteen years ago)

Isn't that Laurel's bike?

Mark C, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 17:15 (fourteen years ago)

raised logo treatment on the underside of the downtube is A+

remembrance of schwings past (gbx), Tuesday, 6 September 2011 18:25 (fourteen years ago)

It's from 1939. Found here: http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2011/08/bicycle-slide-show-201108

Mark C, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 10:39 (fourteen years ago)

I think the craziest bit is the cog for the chain halfway down the frame. I'm assuming it's only purpose is to stop it dragging on the floor!

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Wednesday, 7 September 2011 12:38 (fourteen years ago)

It must almost ride like a recumbent.

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Wednesday, 7 September 2011 12:39 (fourteen years ago)

not that crazy, most recumbents have that second sprocket

caek, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

although recombents are obv ipso facto crazy

caek, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

I think it is basically a recumbent, only not very. I'd love to have a go on one - does your neck not ache?

Mark C, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 13:35 (fourteen years ago)

i really don't dig on wood or bamboo bikes, but this is really beautiful

jaxon, Tuesday, 20 September 2011 21:41 (fourteen years ago)

would imagine those wheels are hella out of balance

yeah, niche-y, that's what i meant (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 20 September 2011 22:04 (fourteen years ago)

I don't lust after the cock who's selling that.

Mark C, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 10:17 (fourteen years ago)

haha

nice bike tho. big shimano logos on the levers means team-spec dura-ace bits i think.

I am getting very lustful for a steel framed winter training bike. How can I introduce E to the concept of a third bike?

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Friday, 30 September 2011 00:58 (fourteen years ago)

I'm selling a neon pink steel framed concorde, replete w/guards, btw

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━sɹǝʞɹɐɯ━┻ (cozen), Friday, 30 September 2011 04:46 (fourteen years ago)

I really feel like I need late 80s/early 90s neon monstrosity in my life.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Friday, 30 September 2011 14:04 (fourteen years ago)

I just put a bid on that moser. Recon i can build it out very cheaply with downtube shifters and other stuff from Kaynicks and bicycle heaven.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Friday, 30 September 2011 14:36 (fourteen years ago)

I've really talked myself into it remembering I have an appropriate stem, chorus crank and brake calipers in my parts bin.

(♯`∧´) (gbx), Friday, 30 September 2011 15:39 (fourteen years ago)

right? not sure what he means by "fork tuning" tho

am0n, Friday, 30 September 2011 15:41 (fourteen years ago)

http://www.radiantsol.com/store/images/tuning_fork_new.jpg

am0n, Friday, 30 September 2011 15:44 (fourteen years ago)

i think what they mean is that the frame is out of alignment, as is the fork

(♯`∧´) (gbx), Friday, 30 September 2011 15:55 (fourteen years ago)

oh :<

am0n, Friday, 30 September 2011 15:59 (fourteen years ago)

:-/

(♯`∧´) (gbx), Friday, 30 September 2011 16:07 (fourteen years ago)

um, it's a non standard use of "tuning" as i've not heard it used with bikes, but i'm thinking he means high performance upgrades/mods, not frame defects

like import tuning

yeah, niche-y, that's what i meant (Hunt3r), Friday, 30 September 2011 16:22 (fourteen years ago)

like, give it lots of carbon doodads and di2, or fork ends out back and flat bars

yeah, niche-y, that's what i meant (Hunt3r), Friday, 30 September 2011 16:23 (fourteen years ago)

otoh, his front wheel looks really close to the downtube, the fork looks slightly not quite right.

yeah, niche-y, that's what i meant (Hunt3r), Friday, 30 September 2011 16:27 (fourteen years ago)

he's keeping the saddle, watta dick
