Chip to increase engine performance

Skoda Solware Tuning Modules are Engine Performance Power Boosters but are all known as any of the following, Superchip, Engine Modifcation Chip, Engine Booster, Car Super Chip, Car Engine Chips, Car Chip, Car Performance Chips, Mod Chips but are all based on the same principle, Boosting Brake Horse Power (BHP), and Torque therfore Increasing the speed of your Skoda car! These products also REDUCE Fuel Consumption!

I've seen these mentioned on a few Skoda boards- the acceleration on my own (diesel) Octavia is less than stellar, and this seems like it would do the trick, but has anyone had any experience or heard anything more about them?

it's a trap

I heard good things about tuning the 2.0T on the B7 A4 but I never did it (seemed silly on a lease).

Apparently it's often just pure ECU software changes now, no physical chip.
