Come anticipate the return of Alfa Romeo to the US with me (also Alfa Romeo C/D, S/D, etc.)

Changing jobs, new work doesn't provide company car anymore, need to buy one. Fallen in love with how Alfa looks (trying to convince myself that the rumors about technical snafu's are exaggerated), thinking about a 147 before they're phased out at the end of the year (to be replaced by the 149), but now I have a question:

Never been a fan of Alfas myself

Just got a call from the dealer, it's been delivered! (now they have to arrange
everything and next week I have to look for registration plate & insurance, and
the week after that it's mine! woohoo!)

Pininfarina's rebodied 8C for the show is breathtakingly gorgeous, Bertone's is a 1970s Hot Wheels disaster.

Alfa has been hinting at a return to the U.S. for over a decade now. I'll believe it when I see them in a showroom. Although recent events make it more likely.

I would have strongly considered a MiTo had it been available when I bought my VW instead.
