it's kind of entertaining because to comment about what's happening in the situation implies a meta-understanding of the personality dynamics in play, and ms. cheesecake has directly demonized anyone who tries to read ilx as anything other than literal and claims to hate any meta-element. but to deal with specific behaviors, you have to have that knowledge.

i normally have no beef with ilx beefs and don't fuck with clusterfucks(yesterday and today are the first times i've ever posted here, for example). in this case i'm adding my two cents just because i've seen too many threads go down in flames with someone getting yelled at for no reason and then everyone else standing around with their hands in their pockets because they're afraid to say anything, or even say a word in support of the person who's getting yelled at for no reason.

every once in a while i have a few drinks and add in an unhelpful snide remark in those threads to indicate my displeasure, but i thought i'd go ahead and openly say "hey, i see what's going on in those threads and it blows"

In case it's unclear, I'm not necessarily defending Mordy or bullying but rather commenting on patterns that, from my perspective, are difficult to ignore.

Andrew, that is not the read I got on the situation -- was it not WCC complaining about ilx on twitter, and then Mordy responding *directly to her* in that medium? I may have missed a tweet that was deleted or something else, but I think you're directly taking her word that she was bullied on twitter when I never saw that happen. If it did, I apologize for my misread.

So her speaking about ilx situations in not-so-vague ways on twitter becomes "people bullying her on twitter about ilx"? It's a reframing, and not one by others.

tbh I don't even remember the details and I'm not expecting it to actually be addressed in any way. I was just expressing frustration at opening that thread reading more of same old shit (though serves me right for opening a beefs thread to begin with, I guess). I'm sure there are probably a lot of people who feel similarly and a lot who don't but it's pretty undeniable that this sort of thing doesn't happen over and over again with anyone else. Like I said earlier it's mostly just tough/frustration to read though I realize I probably shouldn't have said anything as nothing productive will ever come of it.
