wow so i just read all of the posts to this thread since 2012. i don't think i ever knew about the 50K?? still don't know who the benefactor is, but i have my suspicions.

I guess. When people start up with their "I'm having a hard time believing" stuff I want to say, look, here are the things we actually know without a doubt that this person did, this is and was a predator.

If people aren't willing to take the word of reasonable, trusted, knowledgeable regulars who have been around ILX and Lunagate for, between them, many decades, there is no chance that divulging the name of the single most affected party -- against the wishes of that party's closest -- will satiate or mollify the still-suspicious.

i think even w/o that story, even w/o the arrival of this new poster who knows her IRL shedding some light on things*, it should be clear that AA was a creepy person while here who increasingly manipulated people the closer they grew to her.

* (btw after digging a bit it makes sense that this is not another catfish, while it also makes sense people would be wary of one at first glance)

I will say I have been able to meet people irl that I talked to online periodically for the last...shit, 26 years? from the BBS days?

Ilxors graciously gave me crash space when I scouted my move to the PacNW 12 years ago, for example.

Believe one of those is technically an ex-ilxor at this point.
