now it's clear that deej has only been tempbanned the stakes seem a lot lower. if the initial threadban was a misunderstanding then doubling down & banning him for being annoyed does not seem like a v dispassionate decision. must be the weather. suspect he dgaf what I think but how's life has conducted himself well under fire imo

Basically I didn't run the 2014 drive because had just had a kid and was too busy and hoped the ads would cover it. Ads have indeed helped some, but not enough so I just whacked the last renewal on my c/c until I had time to set something up.

So it's totally my own fault that I'm out of pocket but in my defence the drives are pretty involved to run and also babies are a total time suck. Ban stet.

just catching up with this thread and while i can't second lagoon's personal animosity towards stet i do think his basic point, that despite the hard work he's put in we needn't necessarily blindly accept any decision stet or other mods/admin make, is worth asserting. i more or less said this earlier:

that wasn't what got him banned. Some of his CSS bombs are still there, waiting to explode! The problem was he was - repeatedly - taking advantage of security holes for hijinx, and defending it on the grounds that security holes just had to be exposed. We'd asked him a few times to be constructive and tell us about bugs he found rather than being all "Keith you suck have you even read the regex book here look at what I can do to mess with you now" and he never would because he was Loki or some shit.

The last straw was when he used the feature-not-a-bug of admins being able to post any html they want in yellow-cards to hassle a couple of posters, destroy the admin log and cause a general freak-out, the fallout from and cleanup of which took up a chunk of my holiday -- I was trying to fix that one from the airport bus, ffs -- and also cost a chunk of Keith's billable time.

Allowing someone here who just wants to fuck with stuff and repeatedly didn't care how much grief it caused people left me not seeing the funny side.
