is that canon?

some level of canon. Rashi writes the list and gets most of it from various passages in the Tanakh but there is some debate about exactly how accurate the list is. a lot of it comes from Chronicles I 1:43-54, which lists some rulers who didn't rule until after the funeral, and Rashi doesn't account for any princes of Keturah (even tho the Talmud says they were present as well) so different commentators (Tosofos Shantz, Maharsha, Tosofos Rosh) give slightly different lists.

another fun fact: Potiphar bought Joseph originally for illicit sexual relations, so the angel Gabriel came and turned him into a Eunuch. That's why his name is originally written in the Torah as Potiphar and then later as Potiphera. Later on Potiphar's wife tried to sleep with him, thus giving us the famous song:
