I would point out that many of the things you think you know are plain wrong, some are partial or half truths, most are not the whole stories as well.

I had that calendar, but I don't remember if the Luna pic was there? Maybe it was? Anyway, AFAIK one of the other ILXors in the calendar doesn't want the pic in it to be public anymore, so if someone still has the calendar, please don't post the whole thing.

iirc 2004-2005 the atmosphere of ilx was kind of strange. it was pre-noise board, kinda post britisher. a lot of threads were regionally based, and/or 'chat threads' - PRIME ATMOSPHERE FOR UNDERWEAR PIC SHARING.

also pre myspace so i remember making a lot of off board contact with some of you via email that kinda quit once myspace and especially once facebook came around

I think I might have been without internet around underwear calendar time, but this is still pretty OTM. Think it does tie in with the general sense of the boards being more chat-like, too - people may have felt as though posting such things was more ephemeral, wouldn't necessarily stick around? (And of course, pretty much all of those pics *have* disappeared now, so they were not entirely incorrect...)

But still... the idea of doing such a thing is so very alien to me...
