If it's the person I think it is (and I'm pretty sure it is) I heard years ago that he went to CA to meet her and that it wasn't so much that she treated him like shit as it was that she completely flaked and just never met up with him at all but made elaborate excuses so that it seemed like it wasn't her fault.

I had heard from a reliable old board person that that person once flew to CA to meet her but that once he arrived he made elaborate excuses and they never actually met so that he flew home without ever actually meeting her in person.

Within the past 2 yrs she told me the benefactor had met someone else online, he flew to US to meet her, she was cold to him upon meeting, and he returned home heartbroken. If same guy had already flown to meet Aimee years before, maybe it was a different person? Otherwise I assume there was no other woman.

With me, she never tried to lure me out to see her. I for real was visiting my sister in SF, and asked if she wanted to meet up. Which actually makes it even more twisted really, cause all she needed to say was that she couldn't make it.

Here's the thing though - I'm SURE it was told to me that the benefactor was somehow involved with her and I could have sworn that they said he went to meet her. Hmmmm.

It must've been on a weekend that we were to meet up in SF. So, no answer on her cellphone for that whole weekend. I called her before catching a flight back that Monday at her work (she answered the main receptionist line, don't think there was caller ID on it). Could tell she was very flummoxed but she "didn't have time to talk".
