Xxxposts OTM. Ilx can sometimes feel like a hivemind, or just one person that suffers from manic switches in opinion, but it's not as oppressive as that - it's lots of people with many many different thoughts and opinions and senses of humour they're either expressing or choosing not to express. fwiw I have no idea of the background behind this but as far as I'm concerned you're one of the better posters, particularly on ilm, so I'd protest against you not posting here.

Jesus Christ, this is the fucking internet and I say that as a pretty thin-skinned person with easily hurt feelings who has cried (yeah, you read that right) over ILX comments/threads a handful of times. While I agree that people shouldn't be dicks as a general rule and, more specifically, that Kev should maybe be told off if this is really a repeated thing that Jon has been vocal about, I also think that as adults we should be able to take a deep breath, step away from the computer and realize that none of this actually matters or is worth getting upset about in any major way. If your mental health is not in a state that allows you to do that then perhaps you should be asking yourself whether or not an internet message board is the best place for you to spend your time hanging around.

i just want to say that i really don't think it's a good idea to engage anyone in a certain fashion continuously if they react really negatively to it. either you believe someone is really sensitive or you believe they're acting irrationally, and whatever the case may be sometimes it's an indicator or IRL shit and we probably shouldn't push those buttons (speaking as someone who may have pushed a few in the past.) people are pretty easy to ignore or not act out towards. i realize this is lol-depriving but lols can be had elsewhere.
