I mean if someone has repeatedly shown they have issues dealing with being a part of a message board and creates drama and throws fits over and over again for YEARS then surely that is a problem that should be addressed somehow and yet it's not. I mean, now it's obv a countdown until someone locks this thread. I really don't know what the answer is but it's tough to sit back and see/read this shit every few months without getting frustrated. It's hard to watch someone get special treatment repeatedly because either they have lots of irl friends around the place or because people treat them with kid gloves for fear of sending them over the edge. I mean I do get it to a certain extent but it's still tough to observe esp when you've been the target of one of their episodes.

basically my thing is this; if someone is rude, dismissive, and antagonistic toward you here you should be able to tell them to buzz off without worrying that they are gonna jump off a cliff or that you are somehow contributing to the male dominant hegemonic paradigm. in a perfect world. but we don't live in a perfect world so just ignore their ass forever. figure out how to use that blocker thingy so you don't see their posts.

AF - there is no solution because otherwise reasonable ILXORs will blindly defend the behavior and nobody is willing to step in and say, "Hey, maybe this isn't the best way to handle that situation" or something similar. It's like watching someone smash their head against a wall over and over again and, in addition to being boring and frustrating to read, it's mostly just really sad.

it's kind of entertaining because to comment about what's happening in the situation implies a meta-understanding of the personality dynamics in play, and ms. cheesecake has directly demonized anyone who tries to read ilx as anything other than literal and claims to hate any meta-element. but to deal with specific behaviors, you have to have that knowledge.

i normally have no beef with ilx beefs and don't fuck with clusterfucks(yesterday and today are the first times i've ever posted here, for example). in this case i'm adding my two cents just because i've seen too many threads go down in flames with someone getting yelled at for no reason and then everyone else standing around with their hands in their pockets because they're afraid to say anything, or even say a word in support of the person who's getting yelled at for no reason.

every once in a while i have a few drinks and add in an unhelpful snide remark in those threads to indicate my displeasure, but i thought i'd go ahead and openly say "hey, i see what's going on in those threads and it blows"

In case it's unclear, I'm not necessarily defending Mordy or bullying but rather commenting on patterns that, from my perspective, are difficult to ignore.

Andrew, that is not the read I got on the situation -- was it not WCC complaining about ilx on twitter, and then Mordy responding *directly to her* in that medium? I may have missed a tweet that was deleted or something else, but I think you're directly taking her word that she was bullied on twitter when I never saw that happen. If it did, I apologize for my misread.

So her speaking about ilx situations in not-so-vague ways on twitter becomes "people bullying her on twitter about ilx"? It's a reframing, and not one by others.
