What really sucks for me is, I had kind of got into the habit of hitting suggest ban a couple of times when the usual eejits kicked off, to blow off my tension instead of flaming back. Now I *know* for a fact that that has absolutely no effect at all, it takes away that release and I'm a heck of a lot more tempted to flame back (also safe in the knowledge that a good proportion of their SB's won't "take" either).

Sad but true. :-(

there have been 14 SB's posted in the last 24 hours, so i am pretty sure that the sb function is still working. obv we need to make sure by poking around under the hood, but i'll leave that to someone that knows what all those wires under there actually do.

and obv i dont know exactly when yer sbs were posted, but most of the people asking about them have some that have showed up recently, so i dont think anything is out of order - def think that (as king of the stupid and overlong username) the length of yer username can cause problems. for a final test if each of you want to pick someone to test the sb on (note: not someone you may have sbed before) and tell me who it is in this thread, i will verify that it went through and then remove the sb right away.

I just test SB'd Three Word Username at 16:20 british time which makes it 15:20 by my ILX time. Got the odd blank screen again.

I am quite certain that I've never SB'd them before and they said they only had 1 SB so it should be easy to tell if my SB showed up or not. (if it has, go ahead and remove it.)

I just sb'd jjjusten at 11:21 EST. It seemed to work okay.

The last sb I see fro KDT is timed one week ago. I don't see any from NV or darraghmac.

I think it's a software bug but, as I said before, I can't dig into the back end plus I um really should be doing rl work so I can't do more than surface-testing here.

(Internet Explorer 7 here but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.)
