Last week another 11-5 (about my avg.), for the season 166-71
San Diego at Denver - Denver, but I would not be surprised if SD sticks with them in a shootout.Washington at Atlanta - Grease fire bowl! I guess ATL?San Francisco at Tampa Bay - NinersSeattle at N.Y. Giants - I'm taking Seahawks, but this game got trap written all over it.Philadelphia at Minnesota - EaglesNew England at Miami - I'm going Pats, but this could go either way I think.Buffalo at Jacksonville - Jville seems to be stabilizing and the Bills seem to be wilting.Houston at Indianapolis - Indy should win this one, but their D is pretty damn shaky these days.Chicago at Cleveland - Bears probably should win, but the Browns seem to hang around quite a bit and if they get a turnover TD or a return, it could go Browns. The Bear's D line is a f-ing mess. I bet Urlacher is laughing his ass off watching them get run over this past 6 weeks "Yeah sure you don't need me". I'm going Bears.Kansas City at Oakland - KC but games between these two clubs could always go either way.N.Y. Jets at Carolina - Panthers should win, but I don't trust them. Jets would be a pretty good club if they had a good QB, as their defense is pretty sound.Green Bay at Dallas - Cowboys unless Rodgers starts. After last week, I'd give Eddie Lacy 30+ carries in this game.Arizona at Tennessee - Cards need the win, but the Titans while not good are not totally lame.New Orleans at St. Louis - Saints should win, but I bet the Rams defense gives them some fits. Cincinnati at Pittsburgh - Bengals need win and are better club, but they have a long history of not winning of Pittsburgh.Baltimore at Detroit - Good matchup. I think on paper Lions are better, but that has been an often told tale. Give me Ravens on the road.

The NY trap being that it is a 1pm start on the east coast for a Seattle club. It probably depends on if the Giants come to tackle and if Eli doesn't throw any Pick sixes.

new england at miami prediction: aided by tom brady's career-high five interceptions, a result of brady repeatedly mistaking various defensive linemen for the ghost of rob gronkowski, miami is leading 42-3 with 90 seconds left in the game. the patriots' three points come on a 97-yard field goal by stephen gostkowski on the first play from scrimmage of the second half. bill belichick will later explain he made the decision to kick on first down because "that was the play i called in that situation. we ran a play that we thought would work. miami is a good football team. some really good players. well coached. they work hard." the patriots make it 42-9 when stevan ridley somehow fumbles during a brady quarterback sneak from the one yard line, but brady recovers. they repeat the exact same play, and ridley fumbles to brady again, for the two-point conversion to make it 42-11. gostkowski then recovers four straight onside kicks, scooping up the ball and running it for a touchdown each time. gostkowski reports as eligible on all four ensuing two-point conversions, and brady hits him in the corner of the end zone four straight times, even though by the last one gostkowski is triple covered and danny amendola is standing alone in the opposite corner without a defender in sight. patriots now leading 43-42. there is some concern that the final touchdown, with two seconds left on the clock, has left miami too much time to march upfield and try a game-winning field goal. but gostkowski sacks ryan tannehill on the final play to seal the victory.
PICK: dolphins. (we're talking point spreads, right?)

this new thing makes no sense....so he says he's shutting down RG III because he's worried about his health....and says he's starting Cousins....but now I guess he says that after today's practice RG III can "make his case to start"?
like what? you're either shutting someone down for medical reasons or you're not! the players opinion shouldn't matter at that point, it's based on you trainer and medical staff's opinions....
or you're just lying and just want to make your franchise QB come grovel for a chance to start a game over kirk cousins?

I figure the whole shutdown thing is just Shanahan poisoning the milk a bit. He knows he is on the way out and doesn't want to hear any B.S. like last year if he gets hurt. Also if RGIII isn't playing, Shanahan really doesn't have to deal with him anymore and I think that is where he is at.
I'm for it if nothing else it's a cool chance for some pro wrestling style politics in the NFL. It would be absolutely hilarious if Washington plays Cousins and goes 3-0 to close the season.
If that were to happen, Shanahan should go into that final press conference and say "I told you so." then pull the mic off the podium and let it drop off the floor and walk out with his 'ipad and couple of notebooks' out of his office under his arm.

Flynn was reasonably productive against Atlanta on Sunday, throwing for 258 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 32 attempts, so he might have QB2 utility against a Dallas defense that has no talent, coaching or heart.

It was pretty sly, but I think Gruden got kind of a dig in on Kiffin a couple weeks ago with the Cowboys. He said, unless you are getting a good pass rush, running that Tampa 2 just doesn't work anymore as so many of the passing routes always have someone going underneath to go where there is a hole. Pretty much every team is running some plays that are spread inspired.
Dallas has a lot of injuries and I think DeMarcus Ware's injuries or age really hurt them, as that guy was a one man pass rush for the past 8 seasons or so.
