Despite my protests before the beginning of last year's season about how big a league forks wanted, it turned out to be pretty fun (even if I did come in 11th out of 14 teams). I left all of those settings intact. I don't remember if we wanted to change anything or not, but you can all look over what's there and debate it. Also, the current live draft is set for Monday September 5th at 7:30pm ET. That can also be changed if needed closer to draft time.

Now, let's just cross our fingers for a season to actually take place.

That could be possible. Right now, the date is just a placeholder until we come to some kind of consensus.

Hello all - kebya back from the past. Yes, would love to right the ship and be more competitive this year, if y'all will have me back.

I am totally down with the league having a lot of teams, but I remember there being some pushback on that last year.

i had a problem with too many teams last year but then i won so i am all the way on board. 32 teams! we can do it!

I was one of the louder small-league voices, but I quit playing fantasy sports, so have at it.

is there any interest in a negative-points league again? I found that pretty entertaining...

I wish there was a fantasy software than let you do fiddle with the stats enough to make that work. I enjoyed the negative league but wish it was a better reflection of the worst players in the league. Yahoo and NFL.com both don't work right for negatives.

if someone ends up dropping out of this, i'll take a slot. i'm leaving my pay league this year (i moved, and they're switching to an auction, so i decided not to bother) so i'm available for something new

If you and kebya join, that will take it to 16 teams. I balked at 14 teams last year, but it ended up being fun. I'm slightly and privately balking at 16, but it will probably be fun anyway.

Anyone at all have a problem with 16 teams? If not, I'll open another two slots.

Just moved and I get my home internets hooked up on Thursday, so any night after that is good for me.

Drafted in a second 10-team league last night and worthwhile players were disappearing left and right. Can't imagine how much barrel scraping there is to be done in our 16-team league.

So, can everyone agree on a date?

Coulda got DeMarco Murray this week!

Being low early in the season has it's advantages - I was able to get DeMarco and Tebow before you successful teams did! Sometimes it pays to suck.

This season's a wash for me, but I may be 4-4 in my other league after tonight (if Vincent Jackson gets less than 14). All hope is not lost!

Testimony to my luck this season (besides being the most scored-against team): in a world of negative-point defenses, I pick up a D (Bills) that scores me a whopping 25 points, only to have my opponent's D score 29!

Then-again, there have been plenty of luckless people this year. Examples include owners of Jamal Charles, Chris Johnson, Peyton Manning (OK, you were forewarned on that one), any Colt WR, any Jet RB, etc. Long live Fred Jackson!

Hester, Burress or Nate Washington this week?
I'm thinking hester just because of the return yards but Burress might just have a big day

i don't know... i'm still really skeptical about burress. touchdowns are really fickle unless you're like megatron or andre johnson and even last week he didn't really do anything outside of the 10 yard line so idk. but it's not like the other 2 guys are that great. i don't see hester doing much on the receiving end vs the eagles.

thing about hester is he'll either unexpectedly drop 27 pts or give you 4 pts. nate wash had those 2 tds but not many catches, right? i think the best receivers will get you good pts even without TDs, wash and plax w/o the tds aren't spectacular. i dunno.

i feel like hester is kinda guaranteed to come through with 7 or 8 points and burress or washington could goose egg or put up 18.

i think you're right about hester being shutdown offensively though i imagine he'll be targeted. i do think he'll put up 100+ return yards tho

yeah i'd go w/ hester. the return yards will be there and he should be able to pick up some receiving yards as well. that's about as solid as you can hope for out of those 3 guys.

hester is the safe bet, plus he might nab a lucky deep td a la devery hendu.

Hey gang, don't know if other people are seeing this as well, but the add/drop seems not to be working. As of 12:05PM NYC we aren't allowed to add or drop players until after this weekend (Nov. 9th). Guess it must have to do with their programming and Daylight Savings Time. I tried to add David Hawthorne and drop Sean Lee (just announced as out) and it won't let me. Anyone else seeing this?

OK, it appears Yahoo screwed up, there are many rants over on the message board. Looks like they did messup on Daylight Savings Time.

Refreshing still isn't solved it here - all available players are noted as on Waviers (not Free Agents), so they're not available to pickup until Nov. 9th.

For my other league, would you start:

Cam Newton @ Detroit
Carson Palmer @ Minny
or
Alex Smith vs. Arizona

palmer imo, he has scored well in his 2 starts. niners prob won't need to throw. newton has highest upside but biggest gamble. if you are desperate for a result go all in with newton.

Newton's rushing adds so much, that's why I struggle with this.

Last week Palmer outscored Newton 17-14 even though Palmer had a far superior game.

I had to go with Ponder this week in a pinch. I've been riding Brees so long, I'd forgotten he hadn't had a bye week yet.
