9) Brett Favre
He had an excellent no-turnover day in road win over Minnesota with 347 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. He found WR Donald Driver over the middle all day for 191 yards. He is really running this offense well and having a lot of fun.

But is Favre having enough fun to talk himself into playing another season for the Green Bay Packers? That remains unclear.
After spending much of the offseason stoking a media circus about his retirement plans, Favre has said that he doesn't want to spend this year answering questions about next year.
Still, Favre acknowledged today that he and wife Deanna have "occasionally" talked about his future.
He says it probably happens more after a loss or something bad ... and it's much easier to go through the work week when things are going smoothly.
Favre says he's having fun, but the season has been just as much of a roller-coaster for him as it has been for everyone else. One week, the Packers lose to the Buffalo Bills. The next, they beat the Vikings in Minnesota.
But he also says he's feeling less tension week in and week out than he has in the past ... and that's one reason he may appear to be having more fun.

BRETT FAVREIS LIKE A KIDOUT THERE.
BY ADAM UNDERHILL
- - - -
PLAY-BY-PLAY ANNOUNCER: Second and four, Packers' 42-yard line. Favre lines up under center, Levens and Bennett the split backs. He takes the snap, three-step drop, and is sacked immediately by Spielman. Oh, my ... Favre seems to have wet himself. He has peed his pants, folks. He'll have to come off the field and change his pants. He should have gone before the game started. How embarrassing, just a sign of immaturity.
Packers ready to start their first drive here in the first quarter at Giants Stadium, from the 21. Brett Favre is—he is talking to Coach Sherman and, folks, it looks like he is refusing to go in. Favre is crossing his arms and shaking his head and stomping on the ground. Mike Sherman is livid, he's ordered Favre to take a time-out in the corner. Doug Pederson will have to take over for now, ladies and gentlemen. Brett Favre needs a nap.
Packers down 6 with a minute-four to go, at their own 35. Look at Brett Favre in the huddle, he is picking his nose and eating it. How many quarterbacks have you seen do that, Jim? He is so cool under pressure, he just loves to play. Like a kid.
Third and long, from the Rams' 40. Green is the deep back. Favre drops back, way back ... looking to pass. He is holding the ball above his head and—and Green takes the ball and runs around the left side! Twelve-yard gain, first down. That was a Statue of Liberty play, folks! You're lucky if you see that run in Pee Wee football, let alone the NFL. But that's Brett Favre for you ... he's like a kid in a sandlot. So fun to watch.
Here we go, 54-yard field goal to win it in overtime. Favre is the holder. Here comes the snap, Longwell winds up, and ... Favre pulled the ball away! He pulled it back and Longwell missed and went flying and landed on his behind. Hahaha, just like Lucy and Charlie Brown. Favre is laughing ... he is such a prankster. The guy never takes things too seriously, he just plays for the love of the game. Hahaha ... 49ers will get possession.
All right, a minute to go, a field goal ties it. Packers driving in Lions territory, second and 10 on the Detroit 30. Looking to gain a few more yards here to give Longwell an easier kick, or an easy touchdown if it's there. Favre takes the snap, throws over the middle ... intercepted! Dré Bly runs it back to the 45. Favre's fourth pick of the day, and that seals it, folks. Green Bay will go on to lose this one. That was a poor decision by Favre, plain and simple. Something a rookie might do, not a Hall of Famer. I wish I could think of a proper simile, but I'm at a loss.

"I am so excited about coming back," the 37-year-old quarterback said Friday on the Web site of the Sun Herald in Biloxi, Miss. "We have a good nucleus of young players. We were 8-8 last year, and that's encouraging."
Packers general manager Ted Thompson confirmed Favre had told the team he plans to return.
"The Packers are excited by his decision and look forward to a successful 2007 campaign," Thompson said in a statement.
The team scheduled an afternoon news conference. "My offensive line looks good, the defense played good down the stretch," Favre told the Biloxi newspaper. "I'm excited about playing for a talented young football team."
The news came as a surprise to Packers chief executive Bob Harlan.

man, that article is terrible
kinda hoping that Favre does come back. i don't hate him anymore. i remember the books that came out after his 'retirement' after the '07 season and just thinking how incredibly storied this guy's career was, and that now, here we are in a world where Favre has now "un-retired" three additional times, played for two more teams, nearly went on a Super Bowl run, and then got destroyed. Favre to the Eagles makes too much sense. Please let it be true.

I figure Fox, CBS, ESPN and NBC are probably loading up the armored cars to try and be the one to sign Favre to be a football talking head.
If you put Favre next to Terry Bradshaw on a counter talking football the "aw shucks" meter would be running in the red.

“I won't lie to you,” Favre said, “but there has been times once that season started — numerous times — that I thought I shouldn't have played, this was a mistake. But then after the season was over, and maybe even before — I think the last couple of games which I didn't play in and it'd been years since I hadn't played and watched from the sidelines, better yet in street clothes, that was the first time I'd ever done that — but it gave me a chance to really reflect and look around. There was no pressure to perform. I was just kind of watching.“So I had a chance to really think and think in depth.

To put things into context look at last year. Rodgers sits a game and Flynn throws 6 TDs (a guy who apparently couldn't even beat out Russell Wilson for a starting job). Cutler gets knocked out and the Bears struggle to put up double digits. No QB's going to succeed when you only get 2 second to throw the ball and your only decent reciever is an aging Brandon Marshall.

PROVO — For 20 years, Brett Favre captured the attention of pro football with his gunslinging, fun-loving attitude. It’s a special weekend for Favre — along with seven other men — as they are being enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a part of the 2016 class.BYU first-year offensive coordinator Ty Detmer had a front-row seat for the start of Favre’s legendary career. From 1992-95, Detmer and Favre — both young pro quarterbacks at the time — played together in Green Bay under head coach Mike Holmgren, a former BYU quarterbacks coach.“He played with passion. Early on, he didn’t know football that well, but he made plays,” Detmer recalled of his former teammate.Favre's instincts to play the game, and his drive to compete, led him to a Hall of Fame-caliber career capped by a Super Bowl XXXI victory and three straight NFL MVP honors from 1995-97, an unprecedented feat.Favre went on to a prolific career that included setting the NFL career marks for completions (6,300), pass attempts (10,169) and wins (186, tied with Peyton Manning). He's one of only two players — Manning being the other — to throw for over 70,000 yards (71,838). Favre also threw 508 touchdown passes, second only to Manning.Detmer, meanwhile, played 14 seasons in the NFL, starting 25 games and playing for six different teams. Another Green Bay quarterback from that era, Mark Brunell, went on to a 17-year career and was named to three Pro Bowls.Favre was known for having fun no matter the situation, whether it was on the field, in the locker room or away from the spotlight of the game.“He was kind of a fun-loving guy who just loved to play the game, especially early when I was there his first four years in Green Bay. He wouldn’t have killed Favre because he wanted him healthy, but the rest of us would have got killed.”

"If you were to pay me is there anyway the media can find out where it came from and how much?" He is on board with us! We will get this done!" New told Favre.
