if my Fins don't fuck the Bucs up I'm just gonna have to get drunk on Sunday. and if we win I'm gonna have to get drunk on Sunday.

also Broncos gonna get shitkicked

Neanderthal, Monday, 4 September 2017 03:46 (one year ago) Permalink

the season is kicking off with some p decent prime time games. kc-pats, hawks-pack, nyg-boys, lac-den should all be good contests.

my prediction for week 1 is that the vikes beat up on the saints and set early season trajectories for both teams

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 4 September 2017 19:35 (one year ago) Permalink

just finagled my way into getting on the field with a choir singing the national anthem at a jets/fins game in week three; i have mixed feelings

Not sure where else to post about it and it probably doesn't deserve it's own post, but it is pretty funny that you got two crazy stories about sports radio/tv going on right now.

I saw that Boomer Esiason's partner Craig Carton got picked up by the FBI today and this is after ESPN's Ryen Russillo got blasted drunk, naked and broke into someone's place. Both of those stories gave me a chuckle.

earlnash, Thursday, 7 September 2017 00:20 (one year ago) Permalink

yea that carton story is wild

weird decision to kick there. also really looked like white made it live, would like to see a single reply of a close redzone 3rd down play, maybe?

it bears repeating nbc has just sucked tonight

scenic route 1. the ~3 mile stretch to both the north and south of the stadium is still remarkably shitty.

have to wonder when the rest of the afc east will stop being the pats' farm system

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 8 September 2017 01:43 (one year ago) Permalink

xpost i feel like in preseason belichick/pats coaches are more concerned that players do exactly what they are asked to do vs whether it 'looks' successful on the field

comey did deflategate (daria-g), Friday, 8 September 2017 01:46 (one year ago) Permalink

it's so funny b/c i think a LOT of the patriots pro scouting consists of "that guy killed us, let's sign him" yet it seems to work fairly well.

frogbs, Sunday, 10 September 2017 18:59 (one year ago) Permalink

Bears D was hanging with Atlanta but just gave up the big one and probably put the game out of reach.

On the Andy Reid coaching skills comments from Thursday, he's a great coach until his club needs to run 2 minute drill. His teams have always seemed to be bad in those situations.

frogbs, Monday, 11 September 2017 02:47 (one year ago) Permalink

this is one of the worst offensive performances i've ever seen, like people should be fired over this

call all destroyer, Monday, 11 September 2017 03:16 (one year ago) Permalink

there's been like half a dozen truly abject offensive performances today. nfl will have to shrink to an 8 team league to match the available qb and o line talent.

Seahawks/Packers was thoroughly lame, though I'm happy with the result obviously

frogbs, Monday, 11 September 2017 15:59 (one year ago) Permalink

naw the hawks/pack game was great, mostly high level play and plenty of incident. the only really bad thing about the game was the seattle offensive line, pictured below

and how has seattle not addressed their O line, it's been their weakness for like five straight years.

sucks about johnson. that doesn't leave az with much of an offense. jags' allen robinson also probably done for the season and bears' kevin white dead again. on top of eric berry that's a pretty crappy first week for season ending injuries.
