Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 6 October 2016 20:24 (two years ago) Permalink

These two teams are hot garbage.

Mr. Snrub, Friday, 7 October 2016 01:02 (two years ago) Permalink

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 7 October 2016 01:49 (two years ago) Permalink

The kids on the play 60 commercial executed their offense better than these two teams so far

recommended for ppl who love slapstick and/or hate football

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 7 October 2016 02:53 (two years ago) Permalink

i've been saying the nfl has a quality problem for a while but this year it feels like casuals might actually notice?

call all destroyer, Friday, 7 October 2016 02:55 (two years ago) Permalink

for sure. ratings down 10%

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 7 October 2016 02:56 (two years ago) Permalink

Ugh the niners are horrible.

schwantz, Friday, 7 October 2016 02:59 (two years ago) Permalink

xp yeah that's what i was thinking about. it's a fraction, but at least part of the drop is due to the onfield product.

call all destroyer, Friday, 7 October 2016 03:00 (two years ago) Permalink

lone bright spot derek johnson has finally worn the niners d down

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 7 October 2016 03:30 (two years ago) Permalink

i'm happy every time chip loses

Mordy, Friday, 7 October 2016 03:33 (two years ago) Permalink

every idiot in philadelphia knew that getting rid of your best players was not the way to build a better team but somehow chip kelly did not get the memo

Mordy, Friday, 7 October 2016 03:34 (two years ago) Permalink

Kaep better start from here on out

Spottie, Friday, 7 October 2016 05:32 (two years ago) Permalink

FTW: Washington Redskins at Baltimore Ravens.

Nate’s Mom: Redskins.

FTW: Any reason?

Nate’s Mom: Redskins are a very good team.

FTW: You say that every week. Have you ever seen them play?

Nate’s Mom: No.

johnny crunch, Friday, 7 October 2016 11:36 (two years ago) Permalink

lol that's great. she might not do too bad this week either

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 7 October 2016 12:49 (two years ago) Permalink

are they gonna let Kaep start again or what?

frogbs, Friday, 7 October 2016 13:35 (two years ago) Permalink

presumably the official line is still that they are waiting for him to be "100%". gabbert was not the worse of the qbs last night - he looks like a qb, whereas stanton looks like someone asked the punter to take some snaps. there is definitely material there that you assume kelly should be able to work with. he is a good runner and he has a strong and basically accurate arm so if kelly can manufacture an offense similar to his first year in philly with defenses keying on qb/rb runs and receivers running free then he could look like a probowler. as things stand, vs normal pass coverage, he is totally lacking the finesse needed. he does his receivers no favours at all - throws the ball so gdamn hard on every route and has no sense of where to locate the ball to make the throw safe or the catch easy. even if he is often on target he is always going to throw interceptions and make easy routes hard.

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 7 October 2016 13:55 (two years ago) Permalink

@darrenrovell
Starting this weekend, the NFL will fine teams for posting unapproved video/GIFS. First offense is $25K, 2nd in $50K (H/T @samcmlaird)

yes, let's also hope that none of the cheerleaders or advertisers do anything that is 'sexually suggestive'

mookieproof, Friday, 7 October 2016 15:14 (two years ago) Permalink

wtf

Mordy, Friday, 7 October 2016 15:18 (two years ago) Permalink

presumably they don't want any teams posting/demonstrating approval for a) big hits that cause concussions, b) celebrations that will draw fines

mookieproof, Friday, 7 October 2016 15:31 (two years ago) Permalink

chip kelly says he isn't sure who is starting week 6

Mordy, Friday, 7 October 2016 22:20 (two years ago) Permalink

there's more pats fans than cleveland fans at this game

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:07 (two years ago) Permalink

I know!

Looks like Brady is still good at football.

Al Moon Faced Poon (Moodles), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:08 (two years ago) Permalink

And Gronk apparently remembers how to play as well.

Al Moon Faced Poon (Moodles), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:10 (two years ago) Permalink

RIP Bennett

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:11 (two years ago) Permalink

ugh what happened to marty, i didn't see it

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:12 (two years ago) Permalink

been thinking about going to an away game this season, like pats/jets at the meadowlands maybe.. going to be in nyc anyway. how difficult is taking public transit to that stadium? rather see them at home but i really don't want to deal with getting to foxboro

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:17 (two years ago) Permalink

cleveland o-line is good. kessler is going to have time all game unless pats can manufacture something. i guess that's why long was in coverage on that key 3rd down...can maybe outsmart yourselves with this shit dudes

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:29 (two years ago) Permalink

guess they figured something out

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:41 (two years ago) Permalink

Pats' D definitely a work in progress

Al Moon Faced Poon (Moodles), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:46 (two years ago) Permalink

this is the first week they've had hightower back isn't it? nink definitely

over on my local tv josh norman left the game with some injury.. nooooo

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:52 (two years ago) Permalink

hightower played the last 2 but didn't seem to be 100% yet. this is nink's first game.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 17:54 (two years ago) Permalink

might be time to sit some starters here

of course they are playing cleveland

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 18:06 (two years ago) Permalink

Oops

Al Moon Faced Poon (Moodles), Sunday, 9 October 2016 18:07 (two years ago) Permalink

ok norman is fine

thought brady would just sneak it in ugh

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 18:08 (two years ago) Permalink

the cleveland lineman blew that shit up single handedly

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 18:08 (two years ago) Permalink

i was looking at starting QB stats today, so far the only one with an INT is tannehill.

nomar, Sunday, 9 October 2016 18:47 (two years ago) Permalink

Pretty much the Bears and Colts game is a playoff elimination game in week 5.

earlnash, Sunday, 9 October 2016 18:51 (two years ago) Permalink

my neighbor is watching same hatcats v ravens with a slightly faster cable connection so i hear yelling about touchdowns several seconds before they happen

HAIL

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:01 (two years ago) Permalink

Bears defense does look improved this year.

earlnash, Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:03 (two years ago) Permalink

I think the biggest difference between the good and the mediocre QBs is that the good ones can throw that back corner fade pass in the red zone with consistency.

earlnash, Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:25 (two years ago) Permalink

That jump pass in the corner of the endzone is such a ubiquitous weapon of current NFL and dudes like Brian Hoyer just don't have the touch to throw it with any accuracy at all.

earlnash, Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:26 (two years ago) Permalink

Pat McAfee just hit a 50+ yard punt just right and got a nearly 20 yard roll for a 74 yard punt, which was a career high. He has had a very good career.

earlnash, Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:33 (two years ago) Permalink

can't expect a team to have the best punter in football and also be able to afford an offense and defense.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:37 (two years ago) Permalink

miami looking like they might be the worst team in the league

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:43 (two years ago) Permalink

That's why the Raiders finally let Lechler go, can't have top shelf kicking team and afford a good QB.

earlnash, Sunday, 9 October 2016 19:48 (two years ago) Permalink

anywhere i can stream this den/atl game?

Heez, Sunday, 9 October 2016 20:28 (two years ago) Permalink

there's a reddit thread for nfl streams. can't say i would recommend it but it's there

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 20:30 (two years ago) Permalink

That'll work. Thanks

What's up with Denver? Are they a legit 4-0 team?

Heez, Sunday, 9 October 2016 20:39 (two years ago) Permalink

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 9 October 2016 20:52 (two years ago) Permalink

Cowboys are flat out cutting up the Bengals. They look scary good, I think Romo might have lost his starting job if Dak keeps this up.

earlnash, Sunday, 9 October 2016 21:20 (two years ago) Permalink

dallas and minnesota in contention for best nfc teams and maybe both better for having their qb go down somehow

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 21:30 (two years ago) Permalink

ppl have been getting excited about denver and their defense is worth the hype but i think they are going to struggle to score as the season goes on, whoever is at qb. i don't think siemian was going to keep looking quite so good once the league has a couple games of tape on him, and it sounds like that shoulder injury might keep him out a few games. on the evidence of this half lynch is not quite ready for primetime and they are playcalling like they know it.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 21:36 (two years ago) Permalink

bummed that the bears lost to indy. figured hoyer probably let them down but he finished with a great stat line, better than luck! and howard was great again. looks like didn't get the breaks in a close game

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 9 October 2016 21:40 (two years ago) Permalink

jfc it is amazing how bad this kicker the bucs drafted in the 2nd round is

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 11 October 2016 03:09 (two years ago) Permalink

lol it's so perfect - not only did u draft a kicker in the 2nd round but he's terrible

Mordy, Tuesday, 11 October 2016 03:10 (two years ago) Permalink

New Orleans Saints receiver Brandin Cooks is frustrated by the NFL's sudden crackdown on the bow-and-arrow touchdown celebration that he began as a sign of his faith in God.

Cooks himself has never been fined or penalized for the gesture, which has become so associated with him that the NFL Players Association and a partner company created an emoji of Cooks shooting an arrow. Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman was hit with both a penalty and a fine two weeks ago, with the NFL's head of officiating Dean Blandino explaining that it "mimics a violent act."

we can't have any hint of violent acts at an nfl game
