man it is hard to care about a lot of these games. trying to scour the schedule for interesting possibilities. the colts could easily lose to jax in london. everyone else loses with that game why not them too. feel like anything could happen in hawks vs jets other than an offensive td. ravens are due to drop one and them hosting oakland is kinda interesting. chiefs and steelers seem like good teams with major flaws, seeing them face off could be instructional.

most interesting game might be tomorrow night. not sure what to make of cincy this year. through 3 games dalton has been totally beaten up twice, the only relief being pittsburgh's 0% pass pressure defense. miami is a team that should be able to get after him.

"man it is hard to care about a lot of these games."

There seems to be quite a bit of noise about how ratings are not doing as hot.

Most clubs are all over the place, it's kinda hard to tell how good anyone really might be.

Bills/Pats is interesting just because you don't know what is going to go down with NE's QB. Man if they play Edelman at QB and win, that's pretty sick and crazy accomplishment. Heck even if the rookie plays and they win, it still very impressive. I kinda want to watch it just to see how the evil one game plans it out.

KC/Pittsburgh and NYG/Viks are not bad matchups. Detroit/Chicago games are sometimes interesting even though both clubs usually are not that hot. You would think Titans/Texans would be a rivalry game because of the back story of the clubs, but even being in the same division, I don't remember it being a big game. When the Titans were really last good, the Texans were a young team and not very good.

I'm sure there will be plenty of flags in the Raiders/Ravens game, probably not quite like a Ravens/Steelers game but ballpark.

rams/cards will be interesting to a degree.

honestly i don't see much in bengals/dolphins. miami is at best a slightly better iteration of previous miamis, the bengals are probably a slightly worse iteration of earlier bengals.

idk - much as I'd love to believe that for homerism reasons, ever since the Seattle game, our front four has underachieved. really hoping taht changes tomorrow.

i dunno - Tannehill has regressed over the last 19 games, this year he's had two good halves of play out of six. and the o-line is no longer dire enough for that to be an excuse.

would love to have a season that wasn't over by week 5 tho!

if phil simms is aware that the bengals also didn't look good, then yes, it is eminently clear to even our most unfortunate, intelligence-deficient humans that they didn't look good

Even with Luck that is one of the worst teams in football. Their d and o lines are bad.

earlnash, Sunday, 2 October 2016 17:00 (two years ago) Permalink

luck should be able to sue the colts front office

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 2 October 2016 17:27 (two years ago) Permalink

This may be the week where the Patriots' back up QB magic finally fades. Still, 3-1 without Brady is completely acceptable.

Cowboys o-line are beasts. Elliot and Zak are looking good but that o line is the engine.

holy shit didn't even see san diego threw another one away. hard to believe

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 3 October 2016 01:05 (two years ago) Permalink

4th and 22 with a minute and a half to go, he had to go for it. Rivers nailed the pass before on 3rd but the WR didn't hang on to the ball.

Elliot was looking more than a bit like Emmitt today with the #21 and banging between the tackles. Dallas O-line is back into the zone they were two years ago, they were just blowing the Niners off the line down the stretch. It kind of reminds me of the Seahawks from a few years ago where their O-line was just so dominant, with the big back, having a rookie QB didn't even matter as they could dominate any D in front of them. Maybe playing a less pass happy game with Romo might have been a smarter way to go, being forced into it and with the lack of the picks happening, it's working fine with Dak Prescott. Similar thing could have been said of the Broncos with Manning, who kept throwing it 40 times a game, when only throwing 25 and running the clock behind their line and Defense would have been better strategy.

chiefs players in driving rain must be thinking fuck this right about now

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 3 October 2016 02:00 (two years ago) Permalink

Just saw the score, wtf? NFL is so weird week to week.

earlnash, Monday, 3 October 2016 02:04 (two years ago) Permalink

cowboys do look sorta promising on offense at least but they have played some mediocre teams to date. bengals, packers and eagles for next 3 games should be more illuminating. hopefully they do get bryant back in that stretch. all the weird shit with him last couple days not helping anything tho.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 3 October 2016 02:04 (two years ago) Permalink

yeah chiefs pass defense getting torched. chiefs not getting the interceptions they have relied on in recent games. steelers actually going after peters.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 3 October 2016 02:06 (two years ago) Permalink
