none of these trades make any sense unless we know the rest of your team. e.g. this is a bad trade UNLESS you are super hard up for a healthy receiver

I'm pretty hard up for a receiver. I'm in a 2RB/2WR/1FLEX league; Chris Johnson, Fred Jackson, Brian Westbrook, Jonathan Stewart, Tim Hightower, Cadillac Williams are my RB's. My WR's are TJ Housh, T.O., Devey Henderson, and Devin Hester.

you can get a better receiver than royal if you're willing to part w/ westbrook (/those other rbs)

why don't you try to trade him straight up for some tier 1 wr?

someone is trying to trade you scraps for a potential epic player + a solid goal-line type back. what are the other WRs this guy's got?

yeah or find someone else w/ a weaker rb corps and a top receiver and offer them a similar deal. adding royal isn't gonna fix your team.

Westbrook is a 1-for-1 trade with any WR in the league. Walk.

if you have to offer a WR, only offer devery. he's waiver fodder anyway.

Hester has been as good as Johnson so far, and doesn't have a rookie quarterback throwing to him.

yeah, remind me that you're concerned about the stafford situation. btw stafford has a very high-pitched voice, might want to throw that out there too.

i might make that deal. benson looks like he's for real, you have at least 3 wideouts i think are superior to harvin, and your RBs all have question marks.

jackson's carries are gonna go way down & LJ looks like toast

i'm gonna pull the trigger on Wes Welker for Cedric Benson.
That gives me Pierre Garcon, Chris Knox and Vincent Jackson with Devery Henderson on the bench and a running corp of DeAngelo Williams, Benson and Steve Slaton.

actually i think i need to dump henderson and the lame gonzo so that i can pick up a spot K and QB for this week and hope they're available next week.

would you trade Matt Ryan and DeAngelo Williams for Peyton Manning? I have Williams/Ryan, but I also have Slaton, Cedric Benson and Ricky Williams.
I'm presenting the trade, so i'm also curious if you think it's fair on both sides. Deangelo's slow getting started and I'm set at RB, but somewhat worried about Peyton coasting come week 15

i suppose i could offer him ryan and ricky williams and see, but that's kind of insulting. Dude is 1 and 3 and clearly needs a change. His starting RBs are Leon Washington and Tashard Choice.

Maybe throw in a third player. I don't think I'd do that trade with Williams + Ryan either.

hm, now that i'm looking at his lineup, he's also got westbrook and felix jones. He's gonna need solid red meat to make it work. I think i'm okay doing it with williams and ryan; I love ryan but peyton's looking at a career year and the carolina offense has looked piss poor thus far. Benson and Slaton look okay to me and Williams is a reasonable backup.

I mean, manning is possibly the most reliable fantasy player of all time and he's already having a great year - deangelo and ryan are young guys who aren't really looking like top 5 rb/qbs. it would be a big risk on his part.

maybe it's just me, but if I had manning right now, someone would have to offer me something absurd to pry him out of my hands

i don't think he'd go for it because matt ryan strikes me (and probably most other fantasy playas) as a very good real life qb, still an unknown fantasy quantity whose current peak value is closer to a good game manager who will toss 20 TDs rather than an elite guy who will go off for 35-40 TDs. deangelo williams is good but his team sucks and he's not gonna run for 20 TDs again. i say this as a guy who drafted him #1 this year in the ilx league. : /
