I always end up leaving a ton of points on the bench.
Welcome to the thrilling and disappointing world of Fantasy Football!
― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 15 September 2009 16:43 (sixteen years ago)
Some people don't have that problem! Last season I seriously left more points on the bench than any other team in my league. And this weak, I left 84 points on the bench and the next higher was 51.
― Mordy, Tuesday, 15 September 2009 16:43 (sixteen years ago)
This week*
I'm sitting on Gonzo and working in Isaac Bruce and or Devery Henderson if I can pick him up off the wire. I think I may have a problem.Dump gonzo?

cadillac williams will braek heart all time
Yeah, he'll run his ass off until he blows another knee out. No, he doesn't have a third knee, but he'll find one and blow it out.
― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 15 September 2009 22:08 (sixteen years ago)
yahoo is ranking my rb's backwards from my draft :/ think i will sit slatton though

kevin smith (v. min)v. darren sproles (v. balt)
25y/1 punt return league which makes sproles more valuable than otherwise...still, untested as a starter and v. the ravens? tell me I'm making the right decision w/ playing him.
― iatee, Saturday, 19 September 2009 06:52 (sixteen years ago)
Sproles might not return kicks tomorrow since he's the featured back, fyi.

one team's RBs:Michael TurnerBrian WestbrookRay RiceFred JacksonMichael Bush
same team's WRsColston TO BrittGreg OlsenFasanoKevin Walter
I really need to package Jackson and Bush for a decent WR. Unless Cutler learns how to throw, in which case Olsen might not be completely useless.

I'm PI. Whatcha all think?
― Mordy, Monday, 21 September 2009 04:50 (sixteen years ago)
I don't see what you gain by doing this.
― Johnny Fever, Monday, 21 September 2009 04:59 (sixteen years ago)
lol suchhhh a right decision, he got me as many points as drew brees did
― iatee, Monday, 21 September 2009 05:21 (sixteen years ago)
Guys, ESPN is predicting Westbrook does 8 points and that Tim Hightower does 22. Westbrook just did 16 + 10, and Hightower did 25 and 18. I'm already starting Chris Johnson (obv. lol) and Fred Jackson at Flex (might as well use him before he's all used up). Can I really possibly start Hightower over Westbrook???
― Mordy, Thursday, 24 September 2009 00:42 (sixteen years ago)
did you see the miami game??? of course you can imo
― iatee, Thursday, 24 September 2009 00:51 (sixteen years ago)
DeAngelo Williams, Felix Jones, and Ronnie Brown. Who should I drop?????
― Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 24 September 2009 01:23 (sixteen years ago)
You have to drop one?
― Mordy, Thursday, 24 September 2009 01:27 (sixteen years ago)
just dropped isaac bruce for johnny knox; do i play knox or Pierre Garcon instead of welker if he's still questionable?
― bring back all banned legends (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 24 September 2009 01:42 (sixteen years ago)
Oops. When I say "drop" I really mean :bench."
― Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 24 September 2009 02:17 (sixteen years ago)
Can I really possibly start Hightower over Westbrook???
Westbrook might not play - if he plays, I'd go with him.
DeAngelo Williams, Felix Jones, and Ronnie Brown
Definitely play Ronnie Brown. If Barber doesn't play go with Jones, if Barber plays go with DeAngelo.
Knox or Pierre Garçon
I would think you could do better than either, but Knox is the better choice.
― I Am Curious (The Yellow Kid), Thursday, 24 September 2009 06:02 (sixteen years ago)
T.J. Housh or Devey Henderson?
― Mordy, Thursday, 24 September 2009 16:31 (sixteen years ago)
"I would think you could do better than either"
3 WR league. I got Vincent Jackson, an injured Anthony Gonzo and Welker, Dev. Henderson and Knox/Garcon. Hard luck to start the season.
― bring back all banned legends (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 24 September 2009 17:06 (sixteen years ago)
mordy i'd play henderson unless you're a seneca wallace fan
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 24 September 2009 17:07 (sixteen years ago)
henderson is like the ernest givins of the saints, which is to say he might not have huge #1 receiver stats at the end of the season but he'll have a couple of games where he's gonna go off for 180 yds and 2 tds b/c of some long bombs from brees. housh is the #1 in seattle but i feel like he's about = to devery. might be a toss-up?
― omar little, Thursday, 24 September 2009 17:10 (sixteen years ago)
oh right, hasselbeck is out so def. devery
i mean some ppl are seneca wallace fans--i don't want to hate--but yeah gamble on devery going off
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 24 September 2009 17:22 (sixteen years ago)
My line for this week is -74. The next biggest line is -37. Assuming ESPN didn't screw up, I think I have this week in the bag.
― Mordy, Thursday, 24 September 2009 17:51 (sixteen years ago)
(Maybe the more telling stat: If I were playing the next highest projected scorer this week, my line would go down to -29.)
― Mordy, Thursday, 24 September 2009 17:52 (sixteen years ago)
yahoo's projected totals are generally WAY off
― bring back all banned legends (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 24 September 2009 17:56 (sixteen years ago)
<T.J. Housh or Devey Henderson>
I kinda think Housh is gonna have a pretty good game with Seneca, but Henderson's the much safer choice. Go with Devery.
― I Am Curious (The Yellow Kid), Thursday, 24 September 2009 18:01 (sixteen years ago)
PI trades T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Sea WR to Whisperer PSW trades Earl Bennett, Chi WR to Insurgents PSW trades Bobby Wade, KC WR to Insurgents
Whatcha guys think? No upside for me, right?
― Mordy, Thursday, 24 September 2009 22:52 (sixteen years ago)
I'd rather have Housh than either of those dudes.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Thursday, 24 September 2009 22:54 (sixteen years ago)
yeah bad trade imo
― iatee, Thursday, 24 September 2009 22:55 (sixteen years ago)
thirding. always walk with the best player.

oh man... i mean i love to have my genius prognostications fulfilled and all but poor Cadillac...
Sunday. Sep. 25 - 1:11 pm etThe Bucs will start Derrick Ward over Cadillac Williams (questionable, knee) in Week 3 against the Giants, according to Pewter Report. The rest of the Tampa papers confirmed the report, as Williams' knee is predictably acting up again. Should Ward play well against his former team, this could institute a changing of the guard in Tampa. Williams was unproductive on his seven Week 2 carries and was never going to hold up physically. With Williams and Earnest Graham banged up, Ward is a candidate for 20+ touches

so, 3 wr, 2 rb, 1 flex
I got:reggie wayne (v. zona), santonio holmes (v. cinci), percy harvin (v. sf), desean jackson (v. kc), donald driver (v stl) , boldin (v. indy)
deangelo williams (v. dallas), sproles (v. miami), mcgahee (v. cleve), kevin smith (v wash)
as mentioned before, playing in a 25/1 punt reception league (which is why I have percy, sproles and desean and the decisions are complicated...)
right now I'm thinking wayne/holmes/desean + sproles/williams/mcgahee but that leaves boldin and driver on the table. dumb?
― iatee, Friday, 25 September 2009 19:34 (sixteen years ago)
i'd switch driver for holmes.you have good problems.

fuck, no caddy or barber? i am screwed
― bnw, Friday, 25 September 2009 19:38 (sixteen years ago)
I'd play Wayne/Holmes/Boldin + Sproles/DeAngelo/McGahee, I think.
― I Am Curious (The Yellow Kid), Friday, 25 September 2009 19:49 (sixteen years ago)
boldin's so unreliable tho! capable of great things, but lowest fantasy numbers of anyone on my roster by a big margin. I remember he was like this when I had him a few years ago.
― iatee, Friday, 25 September 2009 19:57 (sixteen years ago)
Yeah, but Desean has Kevin Kolb/Mike Vick/Jeff Garcia "throwing" to him.
― I Am Curious (The Yellow Kid), Friday, 25 September 2009 20:39 (sixteen years ago)
he still got 100 yds and a td last week!
(also I am a cal stan so I drafted him unjustifiably high / play him whenever possible)
― iatee, Friday, 25 September 2009 20:45 (sixteen years ago)
Kevin Kolb "threw" for 391 yards and 2 TDs last week
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Friday, 25 September 2009 20:51 (sixteen years ago)
yeah he had one of those 'v. big margin between fantasy and real life' days
― iatee, Friday, 25 September 2009 20:53 (sixteen years ago)
If San Diego drafts Jahvid Best next year I might explode.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Friday, 25 September 2009 21:34 (sixteen years ago)
w/ the chargers that mostly makes sense to me if (when?) sproles takes over for good. who knows though, best could end up being a (relative) draft steal like jackson was.
― iatee, Friday, 25 September 2009 21:41 (sixteen years ago)
I don't think Sproles will ever be a full-time guy. He's a spot starter at best.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Friday, 25 September 2009 21:43 (sixteen years ago)
yeah so as long as he's doing what he's doing it seems pointless to take best, ya know? well not *pointless*...
