go find a lions fan to apologize to and return suitably chastened

mookieproof, Monday, 5 December 2022 07:09 (three years ago)

tbf idk where you're gonna find a lions fan, so carry on

mookieproof, Monday, 5 December 2022 08:19 (three years ago)

BILLS BILLS BILLS

horseshoe, Monday, 5 December 2022 16:51 (three years ago)

i was very pleased with the Lions' good showing yesterday; they are my second team, maybe. i was born in Detroit!

also very pleased with the booing of Deshaun Watson

horseshoe, Monday, 5 December 2022 16:53 (three years ago)

I've seen some pics of some disgusting shirts Browns fans have been wearing, the whole thing is shameful

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 5 December 2022 16:57 (three years ago)

Lions are a fun and very strange team, they seem like the type that can give up 40 points to the league's worst offense and then beat the eventual Super Bowl winner 45-10

frogbs, Monday, 5 December 2022 16:58 (three years ago)

I grew up a Lions fan. Changed allegiances when I moved to Cleveland. Have regretted being a football fan since birth.

brownie, Monday, 5 December 2022 17:25 (three years ago)

it's a hard row to hoe in the Rust Belt, brownie

horseshoe, Monday, 5 December 2022 17:40 (three years ago)

next year seems like it could be a big one for Detroit. idk if they're gonna stick with Goff but they've got something cool brewing there, as always the big thing is they need to learn how to stop shooting themselves in the foot

amusing how Green Bay was the odds on favorite to win the NFC North this year, and had they not completed the 2nd half comeback they'd be sitting in last place. obviously Rodgers is not playing all that well (in part due to injury) but also this defense is giving up an insane amount of yards, particularly on the ground. it's crazy how despite having multiple head coaches, DCs, and entire defenses the team can still have the same problem year in and year out.

frogbs, Monday, 5 December 2022 18:03 (three years ago)

i was excited to watch the jets play meaningful december football, but the downside is a crushing loss like yesterday's. they let the vikes convert third down after third down in the first half and put themselves in a 17 point hole. they were so close to getting out of it!

mike white looks good but idk if having him throw it 57 times is ideal. hopefully they can recreate their magic against the bills next week.

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Monday, 5 December 2022 18:07 (three years ago)

in passing, i am so annoyed by the jets and the entire AFC east being good this season! i feel like the pats skated to so many AFC east titles because the rest of us were kind of terrible.

horseshoe, Monday, 5 December 2022 18:10 (three years ago)

if Tampa loses this they'll fall to 5-7 and still be in sole possession of first place

frogbs, Tuesday, 6 December 2022 03:01 (three years ago)

really wanted the Browns to eat shit by having Baker play like a star elsewhere but uhh apparently he's not even good enough to be a backup anymore

frogbs, Tuesday, 6 December 2022 03:16 (three years ago)

The Packers have mismanaged the late part of Rodgers's career so badly.

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 6 December 2022 04:06 (three years ago)

fucking insane how much better the Bucs' hurry up offense is than their regular one

frogbs, Tuesday, 6 December 2022 04:09 (three years ago)

Niners are cursed. Jimmy and Trey out for the year and they have a world class defense and all kinda offensive weapons.

they can pick up Baker!!! why the hell not??

frogbs, Tuesday, 6 December 2022 15:09 (three years ago)

because they've seen film of him playing

yeah good for him

Titans just fired their GM, which is odd because they're playoff bound. I wonder what's happening there.

frogbs, Tuesday, 6 December 2022 19:31 (three years ago)

someone fucked someone's wife

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 6 December 2022 19:31 (three years ago)

lions (5-7) are two-point favorites vs the vikings (10-2) this weekend, which is interesting

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 December 2022 15:32 (three years ago)

historically, we've had some real duds playing on the road in detroit even in really shitty years for them. also, the teams are on the opposite side of the same coin, the vikings always able to pull victory out of the jaws of defeat and the lions pulling defeat out of the jaws of victory.

but it does feel strange given the record. also, you'd have to be a complete degenerate or masochist to bet on vikings games this year.

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 8 December 2022 21:09 (three years ago)

really tempted to slam the Vikings +2 here

frogbs, Thursday, 8 December 2022 21:14 (three years ago)

I think sometimes the Desert just likes to seriously fxxx with gamblers heads.

Lions are 8-4 on the spread this year, so they have been a degenerates friend this year.

earlnash, Thursday, 8 December 2022 22:48 (three years ago)

i don't think it's crazy -- lions have won four of five and the loss was by three to the bills. and thanks to that cowboys blowout of the vikings, the lions' point differential is only 19 worse than minnesota's. but it is a little odd

mookieproof, Friday, 9 December 2022 00:32 (three years ago)

Honestly it's likely a byproduct of being at home and tending to not get blown out even when they do lose, and having a really good offense.

Lions by 3 would technically be the "toss up" line since they're at home, so sounds like bettors are bearish on Detroit but not bullish enough on Minny to swing more points their way

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Friday, 9 December 2022 00:39 (three years ago)

That's also the type of bet I used to lose but the sackful so my ass is staying away lol

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Friday, 9 December 2022 00:40 (three years ago)

what a moment for maker bayfield

mookieproof, Friday, 9 December 2022 04:16 (three years ago)

I don't think Mayfield will ever be great, but I think he got a bit of a raw deal in Cleveland and kind of paid for the disappointment of 2021. He played hurt a bunch when probably should not have been out there.

Playing for the Browns, they were on TV around here quite a bit and he had some really good games if inconsistent. It probably did not help that OBJ went into full TO Diva mode and seemed to be blaming him for everything.

Got a feeling he will hang around a good while as a backup, if nothing else.

Hey Jim Plunkett was a first pick bust until he won 2 Superbowls after coming off the bench for the Raiders, so it's not impossible.

earlnash, Saturday, 10 December 2022 02:54 (three years ago)

Dan Fouts was terrible for about four years, as was Elway

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 10 December 2022 02:55 (three years ago)

prior to free agency, when you could stockpile talent for later on your bench, QB used to be a very long-term project

now you get called a bust if you throw a pick in your second start

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 10 December 2022 02:56 (three years ago)

hoping the genoaissance turns such things around a little bit

mookieproof, Saturday, 10 December 2022 03:44 (three years ago)

really happy for him tbh. esp now that he's doing it when not a Jet, lol

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 10 December 2022 03:47 (three years ago)

tbf when you're a jet, you're a jet to your last dying day

mookieproof, Saturday, 10 December 2022 03:49 (three years ago)

re: Baker...he's young, he's been hurt a lot, and he's only played for dysfunctional organizations so far. if he starts a couple more games for the Rams who knows this year may not be a total waste

frogbs, Saturday, 10 December 2022 03:52 (three years ago)

Even calling him a bust really is not right, the dude led the Browns to their first playoff win over the Steelers at that for the first time in like 20+ years.

earlnash, Saturday, 10 December 2022 19:49 (three years ago)

Also, college football is done - why is the NFL not playing today? Seems a good day to have a couple games.

earlnash, Saturday, 10 December 2022 20:03 (three years ago)

never seen this before. bills were 4th-and-1 around their own 37 and all of america knew they weren't going to snap the ball. tight end goes in motion then acts like he's going under center. jets linebacker leaps to hit him, commits encroachment, buffalo goes on to score a TD

Bills fake out the Jets to get them offsides!

Texans had a shot but they texaned it

omar little, Sunday, 11 December 2022 21:10 (three years ago)

Cowboys were 17 point favorites that's exactly the sort of game they struggle with

frogbs, Monday, 12 December 2022 03:19 (three years ago)

Miami Dolphins already playing their worst game of the century and then get flagged for a hilarious phantom roughing the passer call

Tua looks like he did in 2019
