The #Bears only threw for more than 188 yards in 8 games this season. And it took them until Week 9 to do it for the first time.

if you're wondering "how did Kelce get so open?" on that final throw in regulation, here it is. Bills playing prevent defense despite Chiefs having all their timeouts. idk what they were thinking

also watching some footage of the Packers offense from Saturday and indeed it appears that Rodgers played a pretty bad game after the first drive. St. Brown and Deguara were fairly open on a bunch of plays (not wide open, but open enough where Rodgers should easily have been able to hit them) but instead he keeps trying to force it to Adams or dump it to Jones. obviously hitting Adams is what sank the 49ers during the regular season matchup and doubling him seems to be the main adjustment they made after that first drive. insane that Rodgers doesn't seem to figure this out at all.

i'm trying to understand this - so yards after catch is cheating somehow?

a big part of being a good QB is being able to find players and space and hit them in stride (the biggest factor in YAC)

so, it's correlating (josh allen excepting - bills yac is #20) that the best QBs have the most YAC, presumably because of accuracy/timing/etc (could be speed but for example tyreek hill is not high up on the YAC list and he's generally considered maybe the fastest person in the NFL)

over the course of a full season, sure. I think the point he was trying to make is that there is a lot of variance when you add in YAC. I just thought the stat was funny considering that, y'know, the Bears could've had Mahomes

I was more trying to respond that a weird made-up stat like 'passing yardage gained per minute of clock time' is not a reliable measure of quarterback skill, compared to, well, any QB stat that's widely used and recognized. It's striking, but it's not a good measure of anything. What's more telling are the number of points scored by KC in that amount of time.
