I wonder if any ESPN personalities are gonna be brave enough to suggest this is probably CTE. someone put together a timeline of AB these last 4 years and it's nuts, in addition to the sexual assault and battery allegations there is so much weird stuff, like threatening to retire over his helmet or throwing his furniture out the window. Which could have killed someone!! not to mention the fake vaxx card. dude is not right.

maybe I'm speculating too much but I wonder if it's affecting Rodgers too. obviously not on the field but he's gained a reputation lately as a legitimately strange dude who holds inexplicable grudges towards everyone and always seems to have a different accounting of events than everyone else. does anyone even know exactly what all the offseason drama was about? he was incredibly media-savvy his first few years and now he seems legitimately confused as to why everyone's so mad at him. he's always been very private so who knows if this anti-vaxx stuff is out of character for him but I am pretty sure the Rodgers of 6-7 years ago would not have given that idiotic interview

frogbs, Monday, 3 January 2022 15:02 (four years ago)

I think Rodgers just might be another victim of right-wing brain worms

symsymsym, Monday, 3 January 2022 17:52 (four years ago)

yeah sometimes people are just morons... AB seems like hes got some real issues tho + hes moron

Spottie, Monday, 3 January 2022 17:55 (four years ago)

Rodgers was pretty left wing on the whole Kaepernick thing so I suspect he's maybe more of a Joe Rogan type who is just willing to vehemently defend the last thing he heard. idk he just seems to be getting increasingly erratic & confusing in everything he says publicly in a way you don't see often in other sports

frogbs, Monday, 3 January 2022 18:13 (four years ago)

Rodgers is just an average guy who thinks he's smart because he's spent his life around morons

maybe he did the whole stunt as a tribute to "super gremlin" rapper kodak black whose sexual assault allegations also had no impact on his career?

basically impossible to say whether the brown stuff is CTE or just some other run of the mill mental illness, but neither is incompatible with having been a really hard worker

auld gang syne (k3vin k.), Monday, 3 January 2022 23:11 (four years ago)

Roffles final home game feels a lot like Kobe's...he's got 20 completions in the 1st half but hasn't yet thrown for 100 yards

frogbs, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 02:49 (four years ago)

stellar quarterbacking all around

mookieproof, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 02:49 (four years ago)

ya Mayfield threw maybe the worst interception I've seen this season. not only was the dude tightly covered there was also a receiver literally a yard away who was wide open. can't imagine what watching that as a Browns fan must've been like

frogbs, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 02:51 (four years ago)

Good God, end this miserable season already.

Mr. Snrub, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 02:51 (four years ago)

Urgh, I can’t even look forward to the draft because all the college QBs suck.

still a ways go before hitting the -0.7 mark the New York Football Giants put up yesterday

frogbs, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 02:58 (four years ago)

Browns put up 0 in the 1st half against a team which is literally only trying to goose Ben's stats

frogbs, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 03:03 (four years ago)

oh i don’t think they’re trying to goose ben’s stats — three-yard dump downs are literally all this offense can manage

mookieproof, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 03:06 (four years ago)

he's on pace for 70 pass attempts this game

(Mayfield was sacked on this play)

frogbs, Tuesday, 4 January 2022 03:15 (four years ago)

It's about time to ask if Mayfield's poor play on the field this season will seriously detract from his credibility as an insurance salesman?

now the next drive they turn a 2nd and 2 into a 4th and 19, go for it and get a DPI on a ball that was absolutely not catchable

PIT: 24-for-46 for 123 passing yards, minus 14 yards on two sacks = 2.3 yards per passing play

yeah dude looks like he could definitely win it in the next 3-4 years. looks like exactly the kind of division-dominating franchise QB Cleveland thought they might've had with Baker

frogbs, Wednesday, 5 January 2022 19:54 (four years ago)

that's impressive considering the stinkers he dropped early in the season vs. the bears and the jets

roflrofl fight (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 5 January 2022 20:01 (four years ago)

not hating on him, he's obviously great and gonna get better.

rodgers is probably the mvp, though, only reason to not give it to him is his dumbassery

roflrofl fight (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 5 January 2022 20:02 (four years ago)

Can someone explain how it is that the Dolphins can't make the playoffs, yet the Ravens (slim) playoff hopes require the Dolphins to lose? I assume it's some convoluted tiebreak thing.

Piven After Midnight (The Yellow Kid), Friday, 7 January 2022 20:11 (four years ago)

it's some tiebreak thing.

btw idk if anybody is watching Chiefs-Broncos but the Broncos were up a point and in the red zone driving to score another TD, and they fumbled the ball and the Chiefs managed to not only recover, but one of the players scooped it up broke a tackle, and took it to the house.

the shots of the stunned Broncos fans are making me giggle.

nyfg have 89 yards of total offense with a minute left in the third; that's basically an average play for them

mookieproof, Sunday, 9 January 2022 20:03 (four years ago)

Lions really played an entertaining game, they pulled out every trick in the book and most of 'em worked (the fake punt was a good throw too, just broken up). Cost themselves the #1 pick, but at least the fans got a show.

In other news, fucking pathetic performance by the Colts, who just needed to win vs. Jacksonville to get into the playoffs and instead got throttled by a team that lost by 40 last week. Should make tonight's game interesting since a tie would put both the Raiders and the Chargers in the playoffs but I don't think they have the balls to actually go through with it. Meaning that...yep...Pittsburgh is gonna be a playoff team. Super Bowl baby!!!

frogbs, Sunday, 9 January 2022 21:47 (four years ago)

I bet 75 on Miami to win straight up. So far I'm happy
