hard to believe this Saints team beat the Packers by 35 in Week 1

frogbs, Tuesday, 28 December 2021 04:09 (four years ago)

Fins now the first team in NFL history to have a seven-game winning streak and a seven-game losing streak in the same season. can't even calculate how rare something like that would be but it seems like the kind of thing that would happen like once every 800 NFL seasons

frogbs, Tuesday, 28 December 2021 04:55 (four years ago)

combined record of of the teams they've beaten during this win streak (counting the jets twice): 36-69

mookieproof, Tuesday, 28 December 2021 05:44 (four years ago)

well they got Tennessee and New England next, best of luck Fins

frogbs, Tuesday, 28 December 2021 14:51 (four years ago)

yeah but it's important to note our seven game losing streak included minnows like Jacksonville and Atlanta. definitely have had one of the weaker schedules in the league, but something definitely changed with the team as well, cos they literally couldn't beat anybody prior.

bring on the Titans.

Colts/Raiders game got a bit more interesting as Wentz is out with covid and Longhorn rookie Sam Ehlinger is going to start (so far).

If Taylor is ok, I'd just give him the ball 50 times. Raiders are giving up 115 a game (kinda late middling).

Steelers are giving up 142 yards on the ground a game...yikes and with Big Ben kinda sucking and no running game how the heck are they a .500 club? Looked it up and their punter is next to last on the table in yards too and the Steelers usually have kinda crap kickers too.

And some Pittsburgh fans want to get rid of Tomlin? That is some wizardary to both suck at throwing the ball, running the ball and stopping the run, punting and at least win half yer games. Just saying...

earlnash, Wednesday, 29 December 2021 11:58 (four years ago)

Cousins now out with Covid too, right before a prime time game vs. the Packers which is essentially a playoff game for them. Lmao. Kinda hard to laugh at these guys given that a ton of vaccinated dudes are getting it too but still, funniest possible timing

Like what is the point of the Giants even playing anymore. This is like last week of softball league shit

frogbs, Sunday, 2 January 2022 20:29 (four years ago)

LOLLL if only

This sideline report is incredible. Stadium security thought there was a shirtless fan on the field and intended to tackle him before they realized it was Antonio Brown

Actually yeah. I mean he seems to know that something's up with him and a lot of NFL Twitter is speculating that the hit Burfict put on him (the one that got him suspended for the entire season) might've fucked him up for good. I remember reading something a couple years ago about how he was never the same after that.

The Bears and Lions must love what they saw of Kellen Mond and Jordan Love tonight, yuck

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 3 January 2022 04:29 (four years ago)

with that win Matt LaFleur has broken pretty much every record in the book for a coach's first 3 seasons

will be nice to see Love get a meaningless game vs. Detroit, my gut is that he's not gonna be any good but I gotta know what it was the front office saw in him

frogbs, Monday, 3 January 2022 04:47 (four years ago)

haven't hardcore followed the steelers for decades but the pittsburgh writers who do were in unison about how antonio brown was absolutely the hardest-working player they had ever seen. like, not even close

which is not an excuse for anything he's done, but something definitely changed even beyond the 'aging receiver who thinks he's always open' paradigm

mookieproof, Monday, 3 January 2022 06:48 (four years ago)

The guy has done some pretty horrible shite and in any reasonable public business would not have a job (except in finance), but I don't think anyone is going to be surprised if this guy does not end up dead soon and also find out he had CTE.

earlnash, Monday, 3 January 2022 09:54 (four years ago)

I wonder if any ESPN personalities are gonna be brave enough to suggest this is probably CTE. someone put together a timeline of AB these last 4 years and it's nuts, in addition to the sexual assault and battery allegations there is so much weird stuff, like threatening to retire over his helmet or throwing his furniture out the window. Which could have killed someone!! not to mention the fake vaxx card. dude is not right.

maybe I'm speculating too much but I wonder if it's affecting Rodgers too. obviously not on the field but he's gained a reputation lately as a legitimately strange dude who holds inexplicable grudges towards everyone and always seems to have a different accounting of events than everyone else. does anyone even know exactly what all the offseason drama was about? he was incredibly media-savvy his first few years and now he seems legitimately confused as to why everyone's so mad at him. he's always been very private so who knows if this anti-vaxx stuff is out of character for him but I am pretty sure the Rodgers of 6-7 years ago would not have given that idiotic interview

frogbs, Monday, 3 January 2022 15:02 (four years ago)

I think Rodgers just might be another victim of right-wing brain worms

symsymsym, Monday, 3 January 2022 17:52 (four years ago)

yeah sometimes people are just morons... AB seems like hes got some real issues tho + hes moron

Spottie, Monday, 3 January 2022 17:55 (four years ago)

Rodgers was pretty left wing on the whole Kaepernick thing so I suspect he's maybe more of a Joe Rogan type who is just willing to vehemently defend the last thing he heard. idk he just seems to be getting increasingly erratic & confusing in everything he says publicly in a way you don't see often in other sports

frogbs, Monday, 3 January 2022 18:13 (four years ago)

Rodgers is just an average guy who thinks he's smart because he's spent his life around morons
