even back in 2008 when he became the starter I remember hearing a bunch of stories about him and getting the impression that he was....well, not an asshole exactly, but definitely a genuine eccentric.

the story I keep coming back to is Rodgers telling someone on the 49ers during a game that they should sign Greg Jennings, who was in a contract year (and the Packers #1 receiver at the time). I don't know how much that influenced Jennings' decision to leave but I'm guessing it didn't help. Rodgers says it never happened but it doesn't sound like something you'd just make up

seeing a lot of suggestions that Rodgers gets fined and/or suspended, but for what exactly? the league knew his status. it's only public knowledge now because he got the virus. if he hadn't no one would have known! Rodgers is a conniving dickhead for doing this, but the league sucks for letting this fly for so long.

Last year the Raiders, Broncos, and Saints paid hundreds of thousands in fines and lost draft picks for protocol violations. I'd expect something similar. I'm not sure if Rodgers will be suspended though.
