Really stupid tie between Bengals and Eagles. Neither team wanted to win
― LaRusso Auto (Neanderthal), Sunday, 27 September 2020 20:51 (five years ago)
The Falcons thing is just so pathetic. It’s like they’re cursed. I remember after the Super Bowl the prevailing take was “oh well, this is probably Bradys last rodeo, and the Falcons will be good for a while..”
Speaking of Brady’s Bucs looking pretty good rn
― frogbs, Sunday, 27 September 2020 21:55 (five years ago)
very weird first half for cowboys-seahawks
― mookieproof, Sunday, 27 September 2020 22:14 (five years ago)
Looking like it’s gonna be a weird second half too lmao
― frogbs, Sunday, 27 September 2020 22:27 (five years ago)
safeties should be worth more points. i’m thinking four
― mookieproof, Sunday, 27 September 2020 22:41 (five years ago)
Safeties should immediately end tge game
― LaRusso Auto (Neanderthal), Sunday, 27 September 2020 22:56 (five years ago)
*the
It's not a curse, it's dumb as a damn brick football. You got a 10 point lead with 5 minutes to go, RUN THE DAMN BALL. 3x 3 and outs and Ryan went 0-6 and if you were watching, they twice went for big homerun balls and a couple more on like 14-15 yard outs.
Bears did not even have to use ANY timeouts in this situation.
Falcons also had 3 dumb hit 15 yard penalties on defense/special teams, so while I scorch their offensive ineptitude, it really was a team effort. I guess you might say the one was a bit the guy cutting down, but Falcon DB was leading with his helmet.
Hey, i'm a Bears fans and I saw this happening and called it to my girlfriend. They definitely choked, lots of crazy 'it's happening again' on multiple players.

hatcats leading the nfc east at 1-2
unfortunate that dallas isn't 0-3
ny teams are 0-6 with a -98 point differential
think we might see some coaches fired here shortly
― mookieproof, Monday, 28 September 2020 00:24 (five years ago)
NFL might be better without the fans, it cuts down on the other chitchat and focuses on the field.
First couple of weeks I grazed by for a few minutes. I watched 3/4 of the Bears/Falcons game this week and Dallas/Seattle was on where I went tonight.
― earlnash, Monday, 28 September 2020 01:19 (five years ago)
holy shit that touchdown run
― frogbs, Monday, 28 September 2020 02:41 (five years ago)
holy shit that first down call, no fucking way
― frogbs, Monday, 28 September 2020 02:52 (five years ago)
with all the talk about the importance of crowd noise and what a difference the lack of it makes . . . maybe they should let us experience it
― mookieproof, Monday, 28 September 2020 03:38 (five years ago)
you mean 750 people don't sound like that??!!!
― LaRusso Auto (Neanderthal), Monday, 28 September 2020 04:03 (five years ago)
we were joking that they needed custom effects for the Philly game and that the boos were too quiet

― Wayne Grotski (symsymsym), Wednesday, 30 September 2020 04:08 (five years ago)
man, 8 long snappers, that's some depth you don't usually see!

I was doubtful when the NBA came back, but after the first game I watched I was ecstatic. It was like a lifeline to pre-COVID life. I didn't get that feeling watching the first week of NFL. The piped-in crowd noise, pointless season-ending injuries, and boring predictability of (most of) the games have had me feeling less enthusiastic every week. There have been a few entertaining games, though.
― beard papa, Thursday, 1 October 2020 18:46 (five years ago)
tonight's game should bring back your enthusiasm

Holy shit Odell
Just for the historical record, I would like to state at this exact moment in time, the Cleveland Browns actually look pretty decent
― frogbs, Sunday, 4 October 2020 20:08 (five years ago)
See: that 2 point conversion, that’s the kind of random bullshit that happens TO Cleveland, not for them
― frogbs, Sunday, 4 October 2020 20:10 (five years ago)
new team who dis, as the kids say
― Mr. Snrub, Sunday, 4 October 2020 22:08 (five years ago)
really too bad that the nfc east teams get to play each other
― mookieproof, Monday, 5 October 2020 00:45 (five years ago)
Nick Foles is not accurate. Bears just need to go old skool Tom Landry or like college coaches used to do all the time and swap them out if they get cold.
They should have pulled Foles in the 4th quarter, as they were lifeless and the Colts defense was shuttering them in. I think having a bit of mobility at QB might have busted a play open.
Neither one is all that good, I don't think Foles has done any more than Mitch T. with the Bears.
― earlnash, Monday, 5 October 2020 19:56 (five years ago)
I'm looking forward to seeing the Colts play some good clubs, as they look pretty stout on both lines and have some good players on D.
Cowboys defense is shredded. Cleveland pushed them around like they had Jim Brown running yesterday.
― earlnash, Monday, 5 October 2020 19:58 (five years ago)
there's gotta be a reason foles couldn't beat out mitch in training camp
― Wayne Grotski (symsymsym), Monday, 5 October 2020 20:07 (five years ago)
Bill O’Brien fired, finally.
― Mr. Snrub, Monday, 5 October 2020 21:21 (five years ago)
his play calling was so bad yesterday

I would advise y’all not to watch that

― Brad C., Sunday, 11 October 2020 23:01 (five years ago)
He’s such a legitimately likable athlete, seeing him get carted off like that really hurt
― frogbs, Sunday, 11 October 2020 23:14 (five years ago)
Especially given his contract situation, just shitty all around
― frogbs, Sunday, 11 October 2020 23:32 (five years ago)

yeah if there's a such thing as late-game mojo the Seahawks have it and the Vikings very much do not

― Wayne Grotski (symsymsym), Friday, 19 February 2021 00:50 (five years ago)
Vincent Jackson was a beast to try and tackle, he was like an prototype of those big fullback/TE like wideouts. Little 195 pound corners trying to cover that dude on a jump ball or bring down in the open field creating mismatches. Bucs' Mike Evans is also that type of wide out.
― earlnash, Friday, 5 March 2021 03:01 (five years ago)
I can't think of Wentz being more talented than f'n Donvan McNabb let alone Randall Cunningham.
McNabb really screwed up his legacy as people totally bag on him all the time, that dude was freaking awesome early on in his career and with Jim Johnson's defense made the Eagles a killer team for nearly a decade.
― earlnash, Friday, 5 March 2021 03:03 (five years ago)
cunningham as far as talent obvs in a tier of his own, macnabb was a very good to great quarterback but more on the high end of realized talent rather than being exceptionally talented
― lag∞n, Friday, 5 March 2021 03:13 (five years ago)
Edelman’s gonna suit up for the Bucs next year guaranfuckingtee it.
