oh and the obj catch.
so i guess the two most memorable catches of all time

I remember a ton of Eli plays
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Thursday, 12 December 2019 17:16 (six years ago)
Mostly interceptions
the quintessential eli play is him looking vaguely confused while he ambles to the line of scrimmage, gently winding one-finger in the air in a "hurry it up" motion, helmet slightly off kilter, pupils entirely dilated
― Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Thursday, 12 December 2019 18:05 (six years ago)
he's never looked like he enjoys playing, which makes it weird that he wants to keep doing it in his diminished state

I still say beating the Patriots dynasty twice is pretty significant and worthy of laudation even if Eli is the most mediocre and dopey QB ever
― frogbs, Thursday, 12 December 2019 18:39 (six years ago)
obv tonight should be 73-6 Ravens so why do i have a feeling it might actually be a game?
― Larry Elleison (rogermexico.), Thursday, 12 December 2019 19:57 (six years ago)
being the Patriots twice is fine, but he hardly did that by himself.
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Thursday, 12 December 2019 20:06 (six years ago)

There’s a great bit in the America’s Game about the SB XLII team where Strahan explains Eli’s secret weapon, starts around 17:25 here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tvt2LgwZ9GA
― El Tomboto, Friday, 13 December 2019 01:41 (six years ago)
Peyton always seemed like the consummate competitor, Eli always seemed like once he achieved major milestones, he was good with phoning it in. probably gets drunk at parties and goes "didjooo knoawos that i won tew super bowwwwwwl?".
in school he probably beat Oregon Trail once then just kept dying on purpose to write funny shit on the tomb stones.
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Friday, 13 December 2019 01:58 (six years ago)
That’s why I like him
― frogbs, Friday, 13 December 2019 03:16 (six years ago)
i don't know why you had that feeling either
― mookieproof, Friday, 13 December 2019 03:59 (six years ago)
I mean they barely scrapped by the Fins on Sunday, and lol, they're also the Jets.
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Friday, 13 December 2019 04:02 (six years ago)
Lavar Jackson broke Vick's QB rushing record.
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Friday, 13 December 2019 04:36 (six years ago)
he was 9th in the league in rushing coming into tonight. fuckin insane.
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Friday, 13 December 2019 04:41 (six years ago)
would like to officially declare that I don't think this guy's a gimmick anymore
― frogbs, Friday, 13 December 2019 04:44 (six years ago)
I could see the Ravens taking it all this year
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Friday, 13 December 2019 04:44 (six years ago)
but imagine how good he'd be at wr
― jesus is zing (symsymsym), Friday, 13 December 2019 04:44 (six years ago)
he could probably throw to himself
― master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Friday, 13 December 2019 04:45 (six years ago)
hes fn shredding the league, kudos
― lag∞n, Friday, 13 December 2019 06:00 (six years ago)
and he’s like a little kid out there! Vick and Faaaaavruh all in one. Postgame with Ingram was 🔥
― Larry Elleison (rogermexico.), Friday, 13 December 2019 06:47 (six years ago)
Is Jackson top scorer in fantasy leagues? I'd have to think with the number of TDs, it would be pretty good.
― earlnash, Friday, 13 December 2019 17:20 (six years ago)
He must be — he’s also throwing a ton of TDS and not putting up huge passing yardage numbers, he’s first in TDs by a wide margin and 17th and passing yards.
Also he’s got a realistic shot at leading the league in rushing. He’s 5th, only 178 yds behind Nick Chubb for the lead.
― omar little, Friday, 13 December 2019 17:24 (six years ago)
the only way he's not #1 is if it's McCaffrey, who has 2k yards combined. but yeah without looking it up it pretty much has to be Lamar, I can't imagine there's another QB that's even close although I think Dak has a pretty crazy # of yards
― frogbs, Friday, 13 December 2019 17:47 (six years ago)
yeah in both my leagues where qbs are scored differently he's way out ahead as the #1. maccafrey two in both. then deshaun, dalvin, russ all in differing orders m/l

not great quality, but dan marino's 44 td passes in 1986 (ken o'brien was second with 25). impressive how often he gets away with throwing off his back foot
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1cym2Zvax8
― mookieproof, Friday, 13 December 2019 20:51 (six years ago)
Marino seemed to be able to throw 40 yard bombs with no effort at all. Look up the yards per catch the Marks brothers had, they definitely was not getting that passing yards throwing 5 yard outs.

29/30 in the end, single game record.

that weak offensive PI call on his record tying TD is just classic NFL

not a joke

Jameis Winston has 32 TD passes and 28 INTs
― omar little, Saturday, 21 December 2019 21:11 (six years ago)
Hahahaha
― Bublé in the changer, I wish I was dead (Neanderthal), Saturday, 21 December 2019 21:12 (six years ago)
Has there ever been a 30/30 QB? Only 11 players have ever thrown 30 picks in a season.
Right now Jameis is tied for 14th most picks in a season
― Bublé in the changer, I wish I was dead (Neanderthal), Saturday, 21 December 2019 21:14 (six years ago)
It’s legitimately difficult to throw that many interceptions in the modern NFL
― omar little, Saturday, 21 December 2019 21:57 (six years ago)
The other guys who are in the same neighborhood in terms of that many picks (2000-present) are like ancient Favre, bad Eli, Cutler, and Testaverde in a throwback season with the Jets.
― omar little, Saturday, 21 December 2019 21:58 (six years ago)
It’s like Blake Bortles never left Florida and got worse
― omar little, Saturday, 21 December 2019 22:01 (six years ago)
yup. that's what is so impressive about it. in the ultra safe checkdown era, even hitting 20 is like a milestone for terrible
― Bublé in the changer, I wish I was dead (Neanderthal), Saturday, 21 December 2019 22:17 (six years ago)
confirmed it. if he throws two picks in the last game, he'll be the first 30/30 QB. lolol
