Just 8 total safeties

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 25 November 2019 04:14 (six years ago)

yeah wanna say "Rodgers looks off today" but this defense is really fucking good today, he's got nowhere to go

frogbs, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:16 (six years ago)

Nice when you can just rush 4 dudes and still get pressure

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 25 November 2019 04:18 (six years ago)

ofc losing your best OL probably doesn't help

frogbs, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:18 (six years ago)

rodgers still looked pretty bad tho

call all destroyer, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:20 (six years ago)

u know who looked bad today? i was at the philly game and it is tough. saw one fan ejected for bad behavior in the second half when things were really dire. the weather was v cold and wet but one fan in i think an attempt to raise the spirits of the crowd took his shirt off and made "make some noise" gestures he looked extremely cold. my nephew is 6yo and came it was his first game and when we were leaving a guy cried to him "i'm sorry you had to see that" and then to us "i spent so much money and came so far to see them disappoint me" and then muttered to himself as he walked away "why am i so emotional about this." i think my nephew had a good time tho bc he doesn't really care who wins he got to eat a sausage, lots of popcorn, got a pin and toy and certificate, and hung out w/ his uncles. grim afternoon for the eagles tho.

Mordy, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:30 (six years ago)

right he's been forced to play perfect and definitely he hasn't been that

that said idk how many open receivers there's really been

frogbs, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:41 (six years ago)

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:46 (six years ago)

Gotta win the big one then we can talk

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 25 November 2019 05:30 (six years ago)

There has always got to be that one sports talking head that claims it doesn't matter you don't like the Cowboys or the Patriots, as that game was like the highest rated regular season game on Fox since like 2007.

So get used to the Dak Precott contract talk...it ain't goin' nowhere.

earlnash, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:34 (six years ago)

so the Ravens look pretty good this year

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:36 (six years ago)

Niners v Ravens gonna be good

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:38 (six years ago)

I really cannot compare how much the 'boys get the press compared to their now two decades of mediocrity.

Is there another team in pro sports that inspires such press compared to success on the field?

I suppose the English national football club could be considered one. Yanks have not won the big one in a while, but they have been better than Dallas in the regular season. Knicks obviously get a lot of press being in NYC and mostly for being absolutely terrible year after year. There are some people more than you probably would think that IU basketball is something of note, but not many don't have gray hair or if they do, they have been indoctrinated into the cult. (Probably could say the same about Nebraska football...moving to the Big 10 was so stupid for them.)

Niners v. Ravens is good possibility of Superbowl preview.

Ball control is going to be the big buzzword coming up, as people are starting to figure out it is a way to beat the big QB teams. I like it, running the ball is football. I am so sick of the spread and short passing game.

earlnash, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:43 (six years ago)

Got to laugh at Gruden and the Raiders for puffing out their feathers after their win a couple weeks ago and declaring themselves victor of the big trade with the Bears turning around and getting destroyed by the JETS this week.

earlnash, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:45 (six years ago)

The team that could be king if things were different is Indy. Not hard to see that club if Luck was healthy would be really tough. Brissett has been limiting his mistakes, but man he could not get the ball down field at ALL in the last game. The ground and pound game is good, but a bit more passing and they would be hard to stop.

earlnash, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:47 (six years ago)

cowboys have the cool star on their helmets

lag∞n, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:47 (six years ago)

idk Cowboys getting repeatedly embarrassed in primetime is kind of a cool NFL tradition

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:51 (six years ago)

I hate the cowboys but getting beaten by the patriots by not much is not some terrible shame

Mordy, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:52 (six years ago)

nah but frustrating to hold them to 13 and still lose

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:01 (six years ago)

patriots giving up ~11pts a game, crazy

lag∞n, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:05 (six years ago)

apparently garrett's two FG decisions decreased the cowboys' chances to win by 3%. his first fg brought down the probability 2.5% on its own.

jacquees, full of cobras (voodoo chili), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:10 (six years ago)

ol troy was not feeling those decisions

lag∞n, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:11 (six years ago)

with last night's win the Ravens become the first team to win by 34+ points in 3 consecutive games

also the first to beat two winning teams by 34+

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 18:03 (six years ago)

rip to the arena football league

mookieproof, Wednesday, 27 November 2019 21:15 (six years ago)

Cowboys would be so good if they didn’t have to play nationally televised games

frogbs, Friday, 29 November 2019 02:09 (six years ago)

At some point people will recognize that the Cowboys have for like two decades been the most 9-7 team of all, basically the glam version of the Marvin Lewis Bengals.

whoever wins the nfc east won’t deserve a playoff berth

mookieproof, Sunday, 1 December 2019 21:30 (six years ago)

Seriously.

Jordan Pickford LOLverdrive (Neanderthal), Sunday, 1 December 2019 21:40 (six years ago)

Browns have Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt but still only manage six fucking rushing attempts in the entire second half. Fuck analytics.

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 2 December 2019 01:07 (six years ago)

the patriots offense is honestly so bad

lag∞n, Monday, 2 December 2019 01:36 (six years ago)

Brady is finally cooked

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 2 December 2019 03:03 (six years ago)

He needs receivers and an O line

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Monday, 2 December 2019 03:22 (six years ago)

I can comfortably say we've seen the last of Tom Brady.

frogbs, Monday, 2 December 2019 03:30 (six years ago)

Damn what a play

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 2 December 2019 04:01 (six years ago)

this is the patriots' only game outside the eastern time zone this season; obviously the jet lag is taking a toll

mookieproof, Monday, 2 December 2019 04:04 (six years ago)
