realizing boston sports radio will STILL be complaining that the game sucked

I thought Gurley's knee was iffy.

what happened with gurley was probably just that they ran him 1,000,000 times in the regular season. ppl speculated about an injury but then it was pointed out that he played a great game vs NO pass blocking, throwing himself in front of dudes in a way he wouldn't have if he was actually injured.

6 points given up to kansas city and the rams over 6 quarters of conf champ/super bowl has to be one of the most impressive accomplishments in the belichick era, especially since the line we were being fed was that these guys are the new wave taking over. bill is probably always insufferable but seems like this would be an especially good time to avoid him for a year or two. meanwhile chiefs' 2nd half performance really just shows how good they were, and how much more they actually had going on than the rams.

tbf the Rams offense looked pretty awful - Goff looked really overmatched. I've seen him like that before but it never lasted the whole game! Kinda neat though how the Pats defense has been this huge wildcard during this entire run; they'll go from like 3rd to 29th in the league during consecutive SB runs

Still, think the big takeaway from this game was "this would've been so much better if the Saints hadn't gotten screwed and/or the Chiefs won the OT coin toss"

the grim corporate competency, utter joylessness of this MAGA franchise is truly the dynasty America deserves

that was one of the least entertaining sporting events I've ever seen

ppl probably don't remember that 15 years ago the pats played defense like that on a regular basis. complete old-school gameplan annihilation by bill and co.

i guess the difference is the players he had to work with. pats will presumably not pay the huge money required to keep flowers this offseason and that alone will probably be enough to scuttle this defense.

still can't get over the Rams *finally* amassing a 9-yard run (backed up against their own end zone, where they needed it most), then immediately getting smacked with a delay of game and fumbling on the next play

can I also say the commercials were all pretty bad and seemed to all rely on the "can you believe how much fuckin' money we spent on this ad? make it go viral, please!!!" factor

though the NFL hall of fame commercial was pretty entertaining

oh and I got mad at the Michelob ad

ive seen michelob advertised my whole life but i dont think ive ever witnessed someone drinking one

i haven't seen anybody drink a michelob since various family parties in the early 90s

The Bud Light/Game of Thrones crossover was pretty wtf, and not in a good way.

the main theme i sensed in the commercials was "look at all these robots who are sad they can't be human"

I liked that the Game of Thrones / Bud Light one had absolutely no twist at the end. The goofy Bud Light characters just get murdered and that's it.
