3rd highest cap hit for 2018 to be precise but yeah. not sure what to make of him tbh, depending on who you ask or what stats you use he's either one of the most effective wrs in the league or he holds the entire offense back. he always looks kind of medium to me.
very curious to see what miami does with him eventually. something dumb, probably

So anyone have any opinion on the idea that the Vikings are going to clear the decks of QBs to go after Kurt Cousins? I was thinking prevailing belief was that Denver was his destination.
― earlnash, Wednesday, 28 February 2018 02:41 (eight years ago)
i think it's weird there isn't one of those qbs that they like. what's wrong with keenum?
― Mordy, Wednesday, 28 February 2018 03:02 (eight years ago)
not sure there is a huge delta between the vikes qbs and cousins. i wonder what kind of money the vikes guys are angling for. a smart qb-needy team could hold out to see who is the last man standing there and get a few years of a serviceable qb for cut rate.
― Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 28 February 2018 03:24 (eight years ago)
feel like keenum will have to put up several seasons of brees-like numbers before people stop thinking he's too $hort

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the final four teams expected to be in the running for his services are the Broncos, Cardinals, Jets, and Vikings.
Let's see.
Jets -- ANY dude that willing walks into that club has to know in the end, it won't work out. Forget it Kirk, it's the Jets.
Cardinals - They lost for nearly 40 years and had a couple of decent teams. Probably the lowest pressure place to go.
Vikings -- They are the best team and last year was very close. Can they repeat that and take that next step, it's a hard thing to do. Will they be setting fire to the future by signing such an expensive player. I'd say this team would be the highest pressure to join as really anything less than getting to a Superbowl is a failure next year.
Broncos - They still have quite a bit of talent and the club has been good about finding players. While improvement would be expected, would not be expected to 'win it all' as much as be in the playoff discussions.

Jordy likely only has one year left and I can't picture him being good with any other QB. would hate to lose him
― frogbs, Tuesday, 13 March 2018 20:43 (eight years ago)
i didn't realize he was 32. he was making a ton of money, i guess they had to do something. someone will overpay enough for him to prevent gbp resigning for reasonable money.
no idea what money graham is getting yet but it'd have to be less than half the $10m/year he's been making for me not to hate it.

i missed sam bradford to arizona. kinda interesting with mccoy. keenum rumoured for denver and bridgewater for the jets possibly in the great minnesota qb clear out.
― Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 13 March 2018 21:07 (eight years ago)
thought Keenum to Denver was confirmed. seems good for them.
Bradford to AZ for $20 million (!!!), $15 mil of which is guaranteed (!!!!!!) is insane, the dude plays a few mediocre games each season and then goes down with another knee injury. I thought he'd be a backup for sure.
idk what to think of the Cousins deal yet. seems like another in a long like of marquee Vikings signings but for once they actually have a decent team around them. the Vikes can regress a bit in the O-line and still put up big passing numbers. still, that's uh...quite a bit of guaranteed money.

Jordy to the Raiders for 2 years/$15 million. sounds like he really wanted to stay in GB but they weren't offering much over the minimum
not sure I understand what GB is doing. Rodgers to Jordy has been the best QB-WR combo in the league since 2010. He's a fan favorite and Rodgers' favorite guy. Dude was still pretty good last year when 12 was on the field. Hundley couldn't do shit with him but that's because Hundley sucks. I get that 32 is right around when you wanna be cutting WRs but even still, GB's got like 2-3 more years of Aaron Rodgers in his prime, why take away his best weapon like that. damn it all.
