am i making this up or is it ok to use "utilize" when you're talking about using something for a novel or unintended purpose? may apply to some of those qbs.

It's ok, but unnecessary.

My manager is a good guy, but instead of saying "use", or even "utilize", he favors the phrase "utilize or leverage". Not sure why he does, but it always makes me antsy.

Moodles, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 03:42 (six years ago) link

i have experienced my share of corpspeak and have to say pulling off "utilize or leverage" is impressive.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 18:11 (six years ago) link

literally the worst challenge ever

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 18:40 (six years ago) link

if dion lewis was on another team he'd be getting a lot of press

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 19:45 (six years ago) link

so I went to that horrendous game at fedex field on Thanksgiving night and there was absolutely nothing memorable about it until... it was Eli's last starting game for the NYG. closed it out with an INT iirc

¯\_(🏈 )_/¯ (daria-g), Sunday, 3 December 2017 19:46 (six years ago) link

that's powerful motivation to get grandchildren

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 19:48 (six years ago) link

I forgot just how good dion lewis was, I guess since he didn't do much last year after the injury? idk.

¯\_(🏈 )_/¯ (daria-g), Sunday, 3 December 2017 19:49 (six years ago) link

yeah he was only partway back last year for sure, even offseason

http://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/trip-buffalo-gronkowski-remembers-flying-through-tables

"Not at a tailgate," Gronkowski said when asked if he'd ever busted a table. "But I've been through tables before. For sure. Family get-togethers. I've definitely been growing up (going) through tables."

¯\_(🏈 )_/¯ (daria-g), Sunday, 3 December 2017 19:52 (six years ago) link

No results found for "si gronk n'existait pas, il faudrait l'inventer".

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 19:55 (six years ago) link

btw pats are somehow going to get knocked out in the divisional round by baltimore. bookmark this

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 19:57 (six years ago) link

bills could really use a marcell dareus type player

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 20:11 (six years ago) link

lol someone threw a dildo onto the field again! 2nd year of a cherished new tradition in this division rivalry

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 20:20 (six years ago) link

this is a great pats bills tradition for sure

¯\_(🏈 )_/¯ (daria-g), Sunday, 3 December 2017 20:42 (six years ago) link

robert wtf

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 20:43 (six years ago) link

lol there wasn't a foul on the interception, you have got to be kidding me.

kinda surprised no ejections too.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 20:44 (six years ago) link

NFL says Marcus Peters was not ejected from the game officially. He left game after tossing a penalty flag into the crowd. Walked right out

brownie, Sunday, 3 December 2017 21:33 (six years ago) link

gronk did a no

lag∞n, Sunday, 3 December 2017 21:52 (six years ago) link

I'm not watching the games this year but I am following the Vikings' season record.

I am expecting an implosion at some point but right now... I might feel hopeful?

Embalming is a flirty business (DJP), Sunday, 3 December 2017 21:53 (six years ago) link

it's just that the qb situation is so dubious

Mordy, Sunday, 3 December 2017 21:55 (six years ago) link

yeah I don't know what to think but you can't ignore the Rams then going on the road to beat the Falcons

Universal LULU Nation (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 3 December 2017 22:23 (six years ago) link

the defense is absolutely great though so they may not have to score that many points

Universal LULU Nation (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 3 December 2017 22:24 (six years ago) link

i think it's maybe time to stop expecting keenum to just turn bad suddenly. he knows he's playing with exactly a 1 game rope with teddy in the wings now, great motivation. thielen is so good. vikes are extremely legit.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 22:29 (six years ago) link

i mean, keenum's not just getting by, he's playing well. jeff fisher escape velocity.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 22:30 (six years ago) link

wish they could've had cook for the full season tho

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 22:31 (six years ago) link

sean payton having a 3rd string qb play special teams is next leveling belichick, probably keeps him up at night

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 December 2017 22:34 (six years ago) link

yeah it's also entirely possible that Keenum was underrated by draft experts because he doesn't really have the physical attributes of a big time qb and then struggled because Fisher sucks

I'm sure Zimmer is loving that aspect since he hates Fisher so much

ANOTHER ONE

competitive shooter - - - - (Spottie), Monday, 4 December 2017 03:55 (six years ago) link

That non challenge cost them a TD and probably the game

competitive shooter - - - - (Spottie), Monday, 4 December 2017 04:07 (six years ago) link

the nfc is definitely the fun conference. eagles/rams and vikes/panthers next week, hoo boy

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 4 December 2017 04:41 (six years ago) link

rams is the hardest single game either has left but i think the vikes sched is slightly tougher overall. v good chance the vikes plus the winner of the eagles/rams game will be the 1 and 2.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 4 December 2017 04:44 (six years ago) link

gaining 450yds and only scoring 10pts is pretty rough

lag∞n, Monday, 4 December 2017 06:19 (six years ago) link

I expect Vikings will be number 1 in the power rankings?

Seattle has beat the Vikings and Eagles (Vikings was preseason though)

Universal LULU Nation (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 4 December 2017 14:30 (six years ago) link

the new england patriots are #1 in the only power rankings that matter, gods

lag∞n, Monday, 4 December 2017 14:32 (six years ago) link

yea but Vikes probably #2 now. their schedule has been kinda brutal but they're killing it. that said they're obviously gonna choke in the playoffs as karmic retribution for breaking Rodgers' collarbone

frogbs, Monday, 4 December 2017 14:33 (six years ago) link

pats have won 8 straight but probably played 0 playoff teams in that stretch (with atl losing this weekend). the best defensive stretch of belichick career in terms of points allowed too.
