Every NFL team has utilized at least 3 different starting QB since Eli Manning's first NFL start in Week 11 of 2004, and every team in the NFC East has used at least 10. The Browns have utilized 24 starting QB in that time.

Utilize
A noxious puff-word. Since it does nothing that good old use doesn’t do, its extra letters and syllables don’t make a writer seem smarter; rather, using utilize makes you seem either like a pompous twit or like someone so insecure that she’ll use pointlessly big words in an attempt to look sophisticated. The same is true for the noun utilization, for vehicle as used for car, for residence as used for house, for presently, at present, at this time, and at the present time as used for now, and so on. What’s worth remembering about puff-words is something that good writing teachers spend a lot of time drumming into undergrads: “formal writing” does not mean gratuitously fancy writing; it means clean, clear, maximally considerate writing.

It's ok, but unnecessary.

My manager is a good guy, but instead of saying "use", or even "utilize", he favors the phrase "utilize or leverage". Not sure why he does, but it always makes me antsy.

i have experienced my share of corpspeak and have to say pulling off "utilize or leverage" is impressive.

so I went to that horrendous game at fedex field on Thanksgiving night and there was absolutely nothing memorable about it until... it was Eli's last starting game for the NYG. closed it out with an INT iirc

I'm not watching the games this year but I am following the Vikings' season record.

I am expecting an implosion at some point but right now... I might feel hopeful?

it's just that the qb situation is so dubious

yeah I don't know what to think but you can't ignore the Rams then going on the road to beat the Falcons

the defense is absolutely great though so they may not have to score that many points

i think it's maybe time to stop expecting keenum to just turn bad suddenly. he knows he's playing with exactly a 1 game rope with teddy in the wings now, great motivation. thielen is so good. vikes are extremely legit.

i mean, keenum's not just getting by, he's playing well. jeff fisher escape velocity.

sean payton having a 3rd string qb play special teams is next leveling belichick, probably keeps him up at night

yeah it's also entirely possible that Keenum was underrated by draft experts because he doesn't really have the physical attributes of a big time qb and then struggled because Fisher sucks
