yeah sorry veg this seems like a horrible move. also the raiders just seem to be in bad shape generally after this season, like anything that seemed to be a bright spot after 2016 gradually faded.

honestly i would MAAAAYBE consider this contract with belechick but 10 years for any coach just seems insane, like even good coaches things can get stale, like I dunno, tom coughlin or someone like that who did great things and was a good coach it just felt like the air had gone out of the thing

I think this is a solid move. The Raiders are in the same position the Chargers are in ... even if they're good, fans will be slow to convert to them. Vegas is Cowboys/Broncos territory imo. A famous big personality head coach isn't a terrible idea if they can keep him away from personnel decisions. Raiders are pretty drab when you get down to it so maybe he can help reinvigorate them somewhat.
