alabama's defense is so small and fast this year and they hit like crazy
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 3 December 2016 23:51 (nine years ago)
it's nice that if alabama is going to continue to be unbeatable that they at least have changed their philosophy on offense and defense to be way more fun
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 3 December 2016 23:53 (nine years ago)
i love lane's playcalling

― johnny crunch, Sunday, 4 December 2016 02:37 (nine years ago)

You got to wonder how much of that was how Louisville came back and scored like 34 points in the 4th quarter earlier this year. The game was pretty competitive up to that point.
― earlnash, Thursday, 15 December 2016 21:56 (nine years ago)
sdsus donnel pumphrey passed ron dayne for most rushing yds in an ncaa career
― johnny crunch, Saturday, 17 December 2016 23:46 (nine years ago)
oh well sort of n/m w this wild actually
The record does come with a caveat: Dayne rushed for 728 yards over four bowl games in his career, but the NCAA doesn't credit those yards to his total because it didn't start counting bowl games toward records until 2002.
― johnny crunch, Saturday, 17 December 2016 23:48 (nine years ago)
Ron Dayne was a beast in college. His speed caught up with him in the NFL, but you could not arm tackle him in college at all.
The starting halfback Damien Harris for Alabama is from the small town I live in Kentucky. He is a banger too. I hope he can keep going and do well.
― earlnash, Sunday, 18 December 2016 04:23 (nine years ago)

― Mr. Snrub, Saturday, 24 December 2016 12:35 (nine years ago)
This Va Tech game went from a rulebook reading borefest blowout to something exciting.

big 10 2-5 with three to play
― mookieproof, Sunday, 1 January 2017 03:19 (nine years ago)
That was quite a walloping. I can imagine Clemson taking the title from Bama this year. Then again, Ohio State didn't even win their conference.

That dlineman #99 for Clemson seems very fast for his size.
― earlnash, Tuesday, 3 January 2017 21:35 (nine years ago)
you know you have a lot of coworkers from the south when you dont even really watch college football but immediately think, wait, they sent a war eagle out there to mess with alabama

so the question now is will the alabama fans dump all over the great god saban for firing kiffen before the championship game? if so, then the fans and saban deserve one another.
― a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Tuesday, 10 January 2017 05:31 (nine years ago)
not too sure that pick was exactly legal
― mookieproof, Tuesday, 10 January 2017 05:43 (nine years ago)
I'm guessing Ben Bouleware is going to be doing a keg stand at some point in the next few hours.
― earlnash, Tuesday, 10 January 2017 05:46 (nine years ago)
happy for clems
― johnny crunch, Tuesday, 10 January 2017 12:37 (nine years ago)
Um, one of the main things Bama fans have been saying for the last two seasons is "RUN THE BALL, KIFFIN!" So no, he's not missed. Who knows what lies ahead in the Sark era, but I will repeat that Kiffin is not missed.
My quick summation of Alabama's year is that Jalen Hurts peaked in the middle third of the season and has taken a step back since. Scarbrough peaked late, then got sidelined with injury in the title game, and may/may not have changed the outcome. Most importantly, though, Alabama is bad on 3rd and long.

thnx
lol Auburn's new offensive coordinator is a guy I graduated high school with in 1992. My understanding is that he's good at what he does, but he'll always be a guy in Duck Head pants and a curly mullet to me.
