agreed; putting rg3 out there as a start-of-the-season starter under literally any circumstances is asking for trouble and any formulation that runs the risk of that happening is dumb

I'd think the Jets probably should sign Fitzpatric for good money for short years and draft a QB that could perhaps be ready to start in a year or two. It is the Jets, so whatever is the right decision, they will most likely do the opposite.

I'd think SF would be the place for RG3, considering they got one of the coaches that developed that style of offense he played at Baylor.

Classic free agent Mexican Standoff going on as it looks like everyone is waiting for the first team to make it so on the mediocre QB line. I like the idea that Kap would go to the Broncos, but he want them to beat Cleveland's offer. Fitz is 33 and holding out for the only big payday of his career, as he figures he is better than a couple of these guys that got paid (and he might have a point). I figure once those two go then where RGIII goes will happen. Same thing happens with baseball and NBA free agents more often.

There needs to be a 'replacement level' like term for the top of the bottom of the barrel like there is 'elite' in the QB mouthpiece ranking system.

The real winners today? Goff and Wentz. Both avoid Cleveland which has become the QB graveyard.

i read that piece on ESPN today about the browns passing up Roethlisberger in the draft and it made some good points but if Ben went to Cleveland i imagine he'd have been a physically and spiritually broken man by the end of his rookie year.

Eagles move seems odd. They usually are pretty tight on money, so they probably have room in their cap to carry 3 qbs. Bradford being signed might be a good trade bait either around draft, end of training camp if rookie looks good or next year if they switch during season.
