07 was the last time they had a sub 500 record (5-11)

Hammer Smashed Bagels, Sunday, 22 November 2015 22:40 (ten years ago)

ah right, billick's last season

balls, Sunday, 22 November 2015 23:37 (ten years ago)

they've had three losing seasons this century, which is more than i thought but still not bad. steelers have only had one losing season this century, pats have only had one* (2000), broncos have only had one, packers have had two.

balls, Sunday, 22 November 2015 23:43 (ten years ago)

Lol I remember the Patriots' s one well cos Miami had to beat them in week 17 to win the AFC East.

Broncos I didn't realize.

Hammer Smashed Bagels, Monday, 23 November 2015 00:38 (ten years ago)

I kinda picture the Colts comeback against the Falcons in the second half being like the movie "Stripes" with Matt Hasselback as Sgt. Hulka.

"I'm getting too old for this shit."

Next week's Bucs and Colts matchup is actually a playoff tussle with the Bucs 5-5 and just outside the Wild Card in the NFC.

earlnash, Monday, 23 November 2015 01:29 (ten years ago)

P sure Carson forgot what year it was on that throw

Hammer Smashed Bagels, Monday, 23 November 2015 01:38 (ten years ago)

i like how this season only a few teams are hoarding all the wins then there are million others playing .500 fighting for playoffs spots its good imo

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 02:48 (ten years ago)

i agree, looking over the schedule there were a lot of unappealing looking games but many of them were teams in similar situations jockeying for the playoffs. it's interesting now but in the end there's going to be two or three pretty bad teams wildcard weekend.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:16 (ten years ago)

noticed i had some kind of rooting interest in nearly every game because of this, although the teams i was pulling for lost except for like 2 games so hoping cards press on here, and of course that by tomorrow that shit is behind me

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:20 (ten years ago)

cards seem better

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:29 (ten years ago)

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:40 (ten years ago)

that does seem insane tho

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:41 (ten years ago)

there is still no respect for the panthers. they have been pretty good for a few years now but i guess it is weird to think of them as a really good team. their good players are not showy is probably another element, it is a pretty headline unfriendly team in that regard outside of cam. and then there is cam himself of course.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:41 (ten years ago)

teams that just grind get no love, panthers are maybe the best grinding team since like the mcnair titans

call all destroyer, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:45 (ten years ago)

imo we dont really need to different between the shotgun and the pistol

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:45 (ten years ago)

I'm into this Panthers team. I'd love to see a Super Bowl 50 with a couple small market teams, though I'm still not convinced the Bengals can seal the deal.

Ⓓⓡ. (Johnny Fever), Monday, 23 November 2015 03:49 (ten years ago)

i'm gonna sic some running backs on you for saying that xp

call all destroyer, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:49 (ten years ago)

i want the pats and panthers to go undefeated and meet in the sbowl and the 72 dolphins to suicide themselves at halftime during an aerosmith/bieber duet

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 03:58 (ten years ago)

^ lol yes this!

Ⓓⓡ. (Johnny Fever), Monday, 23 November 2015 04:01 (ten years ago)

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 04:08 (ten years ago)

great clock management marv

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 23 November 2015 04:37 (ten years ago)

why did the bengals run that play on 3rd and 2? you can't run and pick up 2 yds and another set of downs?

arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 23 November 2015 04:37 (ten years ago)

they got into FG range and had the game and clock under control and swung for the fence 2 out of 3 plays.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 23 November 2015 04:39 (ten years ago)

terrible
what were they thinking leaving the cards this much time
(definitely rooting for super cardinals here)

arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 23 November 2015 04:42 (ten years ago)

lag∞n, Monday, 23 November 2015 04:43 (ten years ago)

hey another reason to watch football on tv which is a much better product anyway

Spottie, Monday, 30 November 2015 21:55 (ten years ago)

thread idea: stupid, evil or both? could be a game show idea even.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 30 November 2015 21:56 (ten years ago)

i've felt this season more than ever that it's inevitable that we will see someone die on the field from a catastrophic injury but this idea might hasten the process

Mordy, Monday, 30 November 2015 22:03 (ten years ago)

aw yes, when the inevitable suicide bomber attacks the stadium, a buncha cowboys with .45s are gonna make it stop with their slick shootin'

Hammer Smashed Bagels, Tuesday, 1 December 2015 01:17 (ten years ago)

(not really inevitable, meant to add air quotes)

The rotating cast of characters Norman adopts each week also includes William Wallace from “Braveheart.” But none of those acts is more involved than his turn as Batman. He decided to embody the Dark Knight before a night game against the Indianapolis Colts after comparing a rainy Charlotte night to Gotham City. Norman said he had to “save a couple of people.” The Panthers won in overtime. “It was dark. It was rainy. It was misty. You had to come out of there and hit, fly around. You got a couple of bad guys out there you’re defending,” Norman told reporters.

pretty entertaining article on the Browns' latest loss

http://sportsworld.nbcsports.com/cleveland-browns-lose-ravens-blocked-field-goal/

Actually, we want to start at 56 seconds; that’s when Baltimore’s Matt Schaub made the first colossal blunder. He’s so good at making colossal blunders that I’m mildly surprised he is not currently the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback.
